Very good overall experience. The folks working the welcome booth were super sweet and welcoming. Campsite goes VERY deep. Could honestly fit a lot of people and several tents. Very close walking proximity to Curry Village and world class hikes. I absolutely loved my experience here and felt like I was in the heart of all the action. Like literally there is no better place to camp I'm convinced! Cons: bathroom is right there and the lights don't go out (unless you were to say.. find a switch on the ceiling), also a LOT of people walk through the campsite on their way to the bathroom. BTW, cleanest bathrooms camping I've ever experienced. Plenty of other reviewers complained it was loud but honestly, it became ridiculously quiet after like 9 PM. Admittedly, we were the loud ones (group of mid 20s) and we were unfortunately placed next to a fricken day care-type neighbor with 7 kids (I counted lol). They repaid the favor with crying and shrieking at 7 am that lasted an hour and made its way through my ear plugs haha fair enough. Anyway.. would deffo recommend this campground and if you can, get a different campsite but this one works just fine.

Enjoyed my stay at Upper Pines. It was a dream to wake up in the middle of the parc, and have access to all best spots and hikes with the shuttle. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Upper Pines Campground. Easy to walk around and see beautiful views everywhere. The shuttle bus is very easy to use. Its fun to take time to watch the climbers on El Capitan. (At the other end of the Valley). The restaurants at Curry Village were adequate. A little gift shop has everything you need.

An absolutely perfect spot! Beautiful creek next to the campsite. It is smaller than most other campsites in the area so probably would be best for a smaller group/small tent

This should not be a campsite. Its directly in front of the bathrooms and about 10 feet from the trash receptacle. Campers are constantly walking through your campsite to fill water, use the restroom, and throw out there trash. In the 12 hours I was there, 4 people walked within 2 feet of me while I was standing at the tailgate of my truck. Campers here do not understand basic camping etiquette. This site should be made into a pathway.

campsite in the middle of yosemite park, very usefull placementnot like:-bathroom (low quantity and dirt)-campground delimitation (too easy to pass in the middle of other's campground to reach toilette)-potable water (you can drink it, but it's not good at all)liked:-super friendly ranger -black water dropoff avaiable in yosemite park (and it's free... only not highlited - maybe it's reserved to resident person)-gas station avaiable in yosemite park (way cheaper than other near park)

Stay here every time. Crowded but good size sites. Its the valley so cant expect solitude. Cell service is basically non existent but thats a good thing.

This site is spacious with a decent amount of privacy, and it stays pretty quiet overall. Theres some shade during the day, not a lot, but not completely exposed either. T-Mobile has signal here, so you can make calls without issue. Overall, a really solid campsite.

First I need to start with the fact that I love Yosemite. I try to go every year. That being said Upper Pines is like a big parking lot. The campsites are tight and narrow. The bathroom nearest to us was gross so we walked further to one that seemed to be cleaner. We were there in August and it was very warm so there were few campfires to make the valley smokey (which seems to be a general complaint by many). One suggestion would be to educate folks on camping etiquette and not cutting through other folks campsites. It's just common courtesy (that apparently isn't so common). August is a very dry time to visit Yosemite so be prepared to miss out on the iconic waterfalls. The Merced was just a trickle but we found a spot to get our feet in the water. Had Sunday Brunch at the Awahnee. Food was just okay but we went for the ambiance which did not disappoint.

Great site near the river. On the smaller side, but neighbors were great and the host was very welcoming. Really can't go wrong in the valley. Restrooms were very clean and sites were well maintained. Perfect location for Valley hikes and cooling off in the river.

Small Site very close to bathroom. Not really meant for tent camping, but could be done. We mostly parked there and had another site we used to gather in...one small camper used in this site. All was well maintained and the bathrooms were very well kept.

Amazing campground and staff. The bathrooms were stocked and well maintained. This place is a little slice of heaven!
@MicahHD3158DB3 · Camped on Aug 13, 2025 at Campsite #143
The grounds were clean and well kept. Sites are very close to each other which is to be expected in a busy location like Yosemite. There were a lot of empty sites near us which was great but it was very difficult to reserve a spot because everything was booked. It seems many people book sites and dont show up

Very well kept camp ground in such a beautiful place!! Great space at every campsite with plenty of bathrooms and trash access. Probably one of the most accessible national park campgrounds I have been too.

Camp site 82 was perfect. Nice shed almost all day and still very open. Neighbor 81 was a friendly young couple with a very lovable 11 month baby all the way from Netherlands. That was a pleasant experience since our own grandchildren are all adults now. We both are in our eighties so it is somewhat difficult now. but we made it to the Vernon footbridge. We used to hike to Nevada falls every year. But we let go that since last year. The bus rides are wonderful and awe inspiring Spirit of Yosemite is wonderful to watch at the theater. All over a spiritual experience.

Nice layout, good policies...quiet, decent spacing, food management. Terrible bathrooms tho...2 facilities stayed dark during our 48 hour stay and the toilets appeared to be overflowing (in the dark)

We loved Yosemite! Best place to vacation IF you can get reservations.

This site was a good size for multiple tents. Bathroom was well maintained. The view was spectacular, particularly from my hammock. When I arrived there was an unusual amount of micro trash (wrappers and paper scraps) throughout the site. But, once that was cleaned up, it was great. Highly recommend.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
