We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Upper Pines campground. Plenty of space, fairly level without crowding. It was good to see a ranger manning the campground kiosk.

The campground was clean and had access to flush toilets! Although it was a bit crowded I really enjoyed the proximity to trails and simply being able to stay in your tent at Yosemite!

No snow, but still great views.A little disappointed that the Ice Rink was not working. There was no sign at the rink. We checked the kiosk next to Curry Pizza and there was a small sign there.

It was beautiful! The park was so organized, the rangers and staff are so helpful and kind. Upper pines is the best spot as you are close to everything and the views are so majestic.

Never camp here during the weekends. This campground is extremely loud specially during the weekends. Bathrooms are usually dirty. The rangers enforce the bear locker rules but never enforce or tell people about quiet hours. I've camped here several times a year and the best time is during the winter. Rangers never tell people about the quiet hours during check in let alone enforce it; That takes a huge toll on your vacation if you're here to actually enjoy yosemite for its beauty and nature rather than party and get wasted like you're in Vegas!

Beautiful campsite in a very ideal location. Centrally located and walking distance to several great hiking trails. Also walking distance to Curry Village.Only complaint is that they were very understaffed. There was someone at the entrance only a few hours a day. Don't expect to have anyone there to ask reservation questions, etc. if you're going. It was also frustrating the process of having different camp sites. Check in and check out are at noon, you have to "check in" at 10am the following day if you arrive after the ranger is gone for the day (around 5pm.) We had 3 different campsites over 3 nights. This ended up being way more difficult than I expected and more difficult than it needed to be.

Upper Pines is a great location. Quiet and accessible to hiking, biking, and showers at Curry Village. Except for Saturday, the park is pretty quiet this time of year. Sunny and warm during the day, it cooled down quickly as the sun went down. Bears arent as much of a problem as in the past due to strict enforcement of food storage rules and constant reminders when we forget.Site 87 is a shady, with views of Half Dome and Glacier Point, through the trees. Its a short walk to clean bathrooms between the 2nd and 3rd loops. The parking space is ample for our 15 trailer and pickup truck.Well be back next year, if we can reserve a space. Wed be happy with any of the Valley campgrounds.

We loved camping at Upper Pines! It's an incredible experience to get to wake up in the valley, hike, play, bike, and end up around a campfire looking at the stars. However, camping with family has it's drawbacks. When your 3 year old get covid from school, and you have to go home early, it really is a buzz kill. Especially since you need a medicine man and miracle maker fully on the payroll to get a reservation. I took this into account in my rating. Advice: Stick to camping with friends to avoid awkward conversations with your wife. (JKJKJKJK)

Lovely location but the services really need to be updated and upgraded. We missed having at least hot water and hand soap in the bathrooms sinks, and some sink to wash the dishes. Also please consider adding a couple coin operated showers. Than you!

It's always good to visit Yosemite in winter. We planned to see the fire fall, but the Horsetail Fall was almost dried and only produced a tiny streak of gold color on 02/21.

The campsite was clean and the rangers were very friendly. I didn't use the restrooms since I was in a self-contained vehicle. When I arrived on Saturday later afternoon the traffic was horrendous. It took over 30 minutes to go about 1,000 feet.

We had the most amazing time camping here. It was beautifully quiet for a spring break weekend, one of the positives of camping during Covid restrictions. We were fully self contained, so I cannot offer comment on the accommodations that all users would need, but man, even the view from the dump station is possibly the best in the valley.

I was here in Feb (site # 88) and again in March (site # 87). Last month, just few restrooms were opened at the campground. Most restrooms near my campsite were closed unless I walked to other loop to find one opened.
The second time I was here (March), all the restrooms were opened, thank you.

Upper Pines was a great campground. We loved how easy it was to go anywhere in Yosemite Valley. Daily ice and firewood delivery was great! We cant wait to stay here again!
