Only negative about this site is that it's right by the bathrooms and the toilets were pretty loud.

Great first time camping at this location also right next to the restroom for quick access

Late fall is a perfect time to stay in Yosemite. The crowds are light, the weather isn't too cold and hiking is beautiful. We hiked to Nevada Falls from the Upper Pines campground, which was a challenge but our entire troop completed the hike.

Our site was right next to bathroom being reconstructed. Like right next to. Like the caution tape took up half our site.I get it, upgrades need to happen. But dont:1) keep sites open that are in the danger zone2) dont line up seven porta potties against that open siteThe park is spectacular. But the campground has so many rules and regulations that everyone is sort of shell shocked and so theres almost no camaraderie among camping neighbors. Its too bad really. Better off Boondocking outside the park Id say.

We were evacuated due to high winds and assured that we could return the next day. When we returned our campsite was given away and cancelled. The campground office was able to assign another less desirable spot but it was very chaotic. For some reason when the campground closed for the one day all the reservations were cancelled, not just the day but the whole reservation. This triggered them to be available on recreation.gov. This glitch in the system needs to be fixed.

this site is next to the restroom which i thought may have some bad smiles. but after two nights stay, i can tell that there is no smile. the only thing is it is a bit crowed as it is in the centre of first loop

Excellent campground, one of my favorite in Yosemite. Of course anywhere in Yosemite is perfect.

Overall another great trip to The Valley, though the sites previous occupants left behind a lot of trash and our neighbors had 10 people in their site. Its always disappointing when people cant respect rules or take care of public spaces. All that aside, the Pines campgrounds are always a great spot for some car camping.

Awesome campground and staff! We were able to catch the first day of snow for the season. Truly beautiful and a must see national park!

The camping spot was right next to the bathrooms which was very bright and very loud. Don't recommend that you stay in this spot

We loved our first camping experience at Yosemite! The other reviews are correct--you are very close to your neighbors but everyone is courteous and friendly and the scenery is so thrilling we didn't mind. Before arriving, we checked the map and were a bit dismayed that we were right next to a restroom, but on site there were no problems and it didn't take away from our experience. Yosemite is beautiful and we loved getting to stay in the valley. We plan to return next year!
