They made the parking lot available for day use. I couldnt find a parking spot and set up camp until after 5pm. The bathrooms were also horrendous. Highly disappointed in this site considering the location and hype around it. Do better.

Camp 4 was a great experience for my family of 5. We were there Sunday-Wednesday. Bathrooms were wrecked Sunday but cleaned the rest of the time.

Nice campgrounds but no privacy and camping spots were very close to eachother. There were no showers available & bathrooms were gross when we got there but during the 2 night stay they got cleaned. Picnic table and fire pit with grill were available. Beautiful views of halfdome and El Capitan. Would came here again

Excellent campsite! It is close to trails, and the shuttle station is across the street. There was no shower but we were able to use showers in Curry Village. The ranger who checked us in was awesome and helpful.

My favorite campground! It was surreal to wake up in Yosemite Valley, and to be in such a historic and renowned place for rock climbing. I cannot wait to visit again!Tips for campers:- When you arrive, theres a kiosk to check-in. After hours, your assigned site and bear box will be listed on the kiosk window.- Only one side of the campground appeared to be open during our stay. There was a building with a water closet for potable water, two restrooms with stalls and sinks, a single stall restroom, and a water fountain.- Bring earplugs and eye masks. We were assigned the site right beside the restroom, so there was a lot of foot traffic and head lamps late into the night. Many people were talking at full volume, some playing music even, around midnight and later. - Please please please be considerate of others when using the facilities. This is a shared space and we all have a responsibility to keep it clean. The first night of our stay, the restrooms and water closet were all clean and functional. By the next night and following day, the restroom was littered with toilet paper and trash, someone had clogged a restroom sink, the water closet sink was clogged and needed to be closed for maintenance (the nearest potable water option during that time was in Yosemite Village and nearby campgrounds), and the single stall restroom (the only option if you needed a changing room, unless you used a restroom stall) was locked, presumably because it also needed maintenance. All of this within the span of 24 hours. The parks are facing severe budget cuts amidst increasing visitation, and staff is being stretched extremely thin - we all as visitors need to do at least the bare minimum and clean up after ourselves. Be considerate when using water sources, theres only a limited number for everyone to share. Take your trash and recycling to the provided bins. Leave places better than you found them.

Everything was great except the bathrooms. Soap ran out quickly. Otherwise, the problems with the bathrooms really are due to the campers.

Awesome place to camp. Friendly and knowledgeable ranger to assist with any questions. Take bikes or rent one to get around faster. Kids loved it.

We chose camp 4 because last time we were there we had a very good experience because we had clean hot showers. This trip we booked camp 4 thinking it had hot showers but we found out the section with the hot showers was closed due to lack of employees. It is very sad to see that section closed. Hopefully in the future it will reopen camp 4 with the showers.

In general, it was a great experience staying at C4. All the staff was very helpful and they were on top of their job.With exception of some campers who do not follow the process and rulesThe park should enforce citations as some of these campers are putting us all at risk of wildlife attacks

We had a fantastic visit! The ranger on-duty was incredibly helpful & easy to work with, and made our check-in process a breeze. Aside from the heat over our visit (which obviously wasn't a fault of the park/campground), I wouldn't change a thing

Many kid friendly hikes nearby. Very crowded in summer. Potable water. Noisy at night-might want ear plugs.

Prepare for a walk to camp, and for extra noise and activity with neighbors in the shared campsites. Close but try not to slam your bear lockers!

Staying at Camp 4 is such an honor! Reuben, the park ranger, is super helpful and friendly. Lots of friends to be made and fun boulders to climb.

This was my camping experience in the USA, and I loved most of it! Yes, there were a few complaints, but overall, the experience was nothing short of WOW! We camped for 3 nights, and I want to give a big shout-out to the ranger and the national park staff they were incredibly friendly and helpful.Out of the 3 nights, the 10 PM to 6 AM quiet hours (no campfires or loud music) were enforced on 2 nights. The ranger made sure campfires were put out by 10 PM. The campsites are well-maintained, and the storage lockers are spacious. The washrooms were clean and functional, although we did encounter a few unpleasant incidents caused by fellow campers such as people not flushing or leaving napkins and beer cans around the restroom area.This campsite is located near shuttle stop #7, very close to Yosemite Valley Lodge one of the most vibrant spots in the valley after Yosemite Village and Curry Village. Note: the showers at this campsite were not operational due to a staffing shortage, so Curry Village was the only available option for public showers.Yosemite Valley Lodge is within walking distance and has a Starbucks, food court, bike rental services, and an information center. It's also conveniently located near Swinging Bridge and the starting point of the Yosemite Falls hike.This is the only campground in the valley that allows bookings within 2 weeks of arrival (getting the reservation is super tough. They book out in seconds, but at least there is a chance). The other three campgrounds open for reservations 5 months in advance.I highly recommend camping at this site!

Clean centrally located campsite in Yosemite valley

Given the history of the camp as a climbers camp, I was sorely disappointed to see that hardly any of the visitors were climbers. Maybe this is something I should have expected with the exploding popularity of visiting Yos in the last twenty years, but for anyone like me who is visiting the park for the first time and has been hearing stories about camp 4 at the crag for years, unfortunately seem to be a thing of the past. ...Maybe it was also just July...

I wasn't impressed with this campground. It's a really funky set up. When you make a reservation, the NPS will assign you a spot which is fine, however none of us knew that other people you didn't know would also be in that spot. There are four bear boxes at each site labeled "A, B, C, D" so you could have up to 4 different groups at your site unless you have one large group. And then the fire pit would be for everyone together along with one shared picnic table. I don't think people come wanting to camp with people they don't know. And on top of that, the price was $10 per person per night when the campground at North Pines was only $8 per person per night and you had your own private site, could park your car at your site, and in our case we had one on the river. There is no parking at your site at Camp 4. You have to carry all of your stuff to the site. To me it seems like Camp 4 should be maybe $5 per night. How could it be more than the other campgrounds??? Ridiculous! Thankfully we only had one night at Camp 4 after we exited the backcountry because I would have been extremely disappointed to stay there for several nights. It's crowded and poorly designed and too expensive for what it is.

First time at Camp4 and was happy to have a campsite. This was a one day at a time reservation scheme that became available only 1 week in advance. Had to get up at 7am 3 days in a row to reserve because the system wouldn't allow for a multi-day reservation. I subsequently discovered this was a group campsite, so not private, and a bit noisy. Also located alongside the loop highway that has a lot traffic including tourbusses, loud soeaker trams, motorcycles, etc. The parking lot is ample, but can be quite a ways from the actual campsite, so it's a long walk in for some. We had a big tent and it barely fit. Most have small tents. Four tents allowed per roughly 50 50 ft campsite. Or about 500 sq ft per user. Gets a little tight with limited shared benches. Not many places to hang hammocks and disallowed on oak trees, which are the majority of foliage. Bathrooms have flushing toilets and one electrical outlet. There is potable water, but no shower. Rangers are a bit nippy about how fast you haul your cooler to the bear box and how fast you shut the door. I never saw any bear activity. Trail head to Yosemite Falls is close. Yosemite Lodge is across the road. So, it's bustling.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
