Campsite was nice, as we were walking distance to mirror lake, Happy Isles, and Camp Curry. My only complaint is that in the evening, all of the campfire smoke from other campers just sits in the air and makes the whole campground smokey.

We were lucky to have perfect weather. Our Lower Pines site #39 was right on the river so we were able to launch our raft directly from our site. The rafting on the Merced River was awesome and we made 3 trips in 3 days (about two hours of blissful floating, no whitewater). The site is also an easy shuttle trip to the start of the Mist trail and the Four Mile Trail (up to Glacier Point). Lower Pines is my favorite area for it's great access to the river, the valley and Curry Village.

We came in during Memorial Day weekend. This was a decent stay, with a good view of half dome, and a good access to Curry Village by walking distance through the board walk meadow. Unfortunately, a lot of people like to light fires which can make this campground very smoky and hard to breathe throughout the night.

Amazing camping trip. Our site was right by the water, absolutely beautiful views. My only critique was that there were signs saying the river was closed to boats, but a ranger clarified that is was actually open, but the signs were still up because of under-staffing. Nevertheless, we got on the river and had an amazing float.

63 was a great site by the river. Lots of shade and space, but also lots of mosquitos at dawn/dusk! Ranger was very knowledgeable and helpful at check in.

Bad area for site. People parking in our space even after cones were in place. Others set up on our site and were very loud the whole time. Too many people allowed on the sites around us. Way more than 6 people and 6 tents. No rangers anywhere, no one enforcing the rules.

Great to camp right in the main park valley, close to many trailheads and shuttle service! Campground is surrounded by beauty - one of the best I've been to.

We had a great experience. A wonderful campfire side celebration and saw some rangers wrangling bears.

We stayed in both sights #53 and 57. Both sights were mostly level, in the shadows of Yosemite falls, bathrooms close by were clean. Water refill station for our water bottles near bathrooms. The camp ground was perfectly located to the epic Mist trail, bike rental in curry village. The campground does not have showers. The camp host was friendly and obviously loved his job. Truly magical experience if you can get the reservation. The week before Memorial Day turns out a perfect week - before the post Memorial Day crowds.

We preferred the Lower Pines campground to the North Pines. We were outside loop (site 70) for Lower Pines, which was less busy/crowded than the inner loop site we had at North Pines. Site 70 does not have shade, but it does offer a great view of the sky if you use Starlink.

Stayed at site 49 - EXCELLENT site. Very large area for up to 4 tents or more. There were also two picnic tables surrounding the fire pit. Doesn't seem it would be prone to flooding.
@AlysonV2EBF7AD · Camped on May 4, 2025 at Campsite #21
Very friendly staff. Location excellent. Can walk to trails, Mirror lake , Curry village etc.

Lovely campsite, nice ranger. Great views, squirrels and pines. Access to river is limited. Have to be on north pines for that i suppose. There is a watertap and waste water disposal available. Toilets were ok as well. Excellent connection to bus

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
