The camp ground was great, as long as you dont mind being around be seeing as the campground his packed tight, but that should be expected from a place like Yosemite. The only thing that bothered my wife and I was both the mens and womens restrooms toilets were loose and appeared to be leaking and when I brought this up to the camp attendant they seemed to be aware but without plans on fixing the toilet. Other than that it was a great weekend and we will be returning.

Plenty of space, some shade, close to restroom/water, but people would cut through our site to access the restroom. A bit of view of half dome and the river from site

We had a wonderful three night stay here, fabulous location! We were right on the river with a view of half dome. The campground is centrally located and you can easily walk to several trail heads, Curry Village, etc.. I would recommend walking over taking the shuttle. For whatever reason the Shuttles seemed few and far between. The Ranger at the campground was super nice and very informative, ask them if you have any questions or need recommendations. The bathrooms were very clean and there is drinking water available. There are no showers at Lower Pines, closest showers are at Curry Village. Loved our stay, can't wait to go back.
