Great campsite in the valley plenty of hikes nearby within walking distance. Definitely grab a spot here if you can!

Im Sommer mit dem Wohnmobil nur schwer ertrglich. Der Stellplatz ist in einer Schneise und bietet somit keinen Schatten.

Lower Pines campground was a great campground overall. It was small and bathrooms were clean. It was a short walk to the showers at Curry village and the dump station at Upper Pines was right across the road. The sites were very close together, which we didn't love, and site 47 seemed to be the worst in the campground. It was right in the middle of the campground with no shade whatsoever. In the future, we would return to Lower Pines, but camp at a different site that has shade.

Campground was located somehow near the center and close to public showers. Space was tight and no shade at all which it was inconvenient for us. We really loved that it was walking distance to showers. And these ones were actually no charge and open to public.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location. Our site was the only site with zero trees/shade, but the campground was beautiful

We parked our travel trailer at our site. Within 5 minutes, 2 rangers stopped by to tell us to put out the fire in our fire ring that was still smoldering from former campers. They suggested we find a pitcher and get the water from the restrooms to put it out. One ranger mentioned that it would be terrible to have a forest fire here due to the campfire. Although we complied, we thought about it afterwards and realized that our campsite should have been ready for us when we checked in, and we should not have been asked to put out a fire we did not start. In addition, there was snow on the ground and everything was soaking wet, so the request was silly.
