Great view from our site #35. It is right by the bathroom which we didnt use and it didnt bother us. The site is short and not quite wide enough to park side by side trailer and truck. But we managed to park the truck crossways. Great location for bike trails and catching the shuttle.

Lower Pines is my favorite pines campground. We had a great spot near the amphitheater with tons of space to roam.

Great site. There is river close by for swimming and is walking distance to many of the trail heads in Yosemite Valley. The only issue we had wasn't with the campgrounds it was with neighboring campers who refuse to keep their dogs on leashes. I have camped many times in the valley and am a Yosemite Conservancy volunteer. Camping in the valley is usually amazing. Having random dogs running through your campsite at any given time wrecks the whole thing. Hearing them constantly barking at other dogs throughout the day got old fast. Leash laws need to be enforced. Keep your dogs tied up to your newly purchased sprinter van.

Apart from the booming mariachi music in the morning it was perfect. Anybody reading this do everyone a favor. Insanely loud music is for the lake. People go to National Parks to get away from that and relax. Have some common curtesy for your neighbors.

In preparation for my 3 day adventure in Yosemite which included summiting the almighty half dome, I pulled in for my first night at lower pines into a very spacious campfround and pitched my tiny tent against the backdrop of my target peak. The view of half dome between the pines is etched into my memory forever as the sun set on what would make for an incredible night under the stars. Nearby parking, running toilets, basins and drinking water made for a very comfortable night before heading off into elevation. I have no faults for this place.

Yosemite is one of our most favorite destinations. We were fortunate to secure a site in Lower Pines right beneath Half Dome. Our site was close to the bus stop and the outdoor amphitheater where we saw a very informative Ranger talk. We had our dog with us so there were many trails we were unable to go on, so we took a walk to the village. The views from the meadow were fantastic as was the meadow. There's so much to do and yet you can just do nothing and have a great visit.
