Incredibly convenient and clean campground, right inside Yosemite Valley. The hosts were very sweet, and it's by far the best campground we've ever stayed at in terms of views. Just a couple of things to keep in mindthere's no soap in the bathrooms, and be sure to lock all your food away securely.

Beautiful area! Campsite has the river in the back and is quite private. The view of Half Dome from this site is stunning! I was able to leave my car and walk to hikes. I totally enjoyed my stay here.

I started my experience as a paid guest in the campground. I simply asked the wilderness rangers if a campground a little further away required a wilderness permit or a reservation. The ranger went off on me about the lottery system and the permitting requirements. It was just a question, geez! Next i was baffled that campfires were allowed. There must of been at least 50 fires going with Sequoia trees thousands of years old not far away. I could hardly sleep because of the strong wood smoke. I felt like i was on a rotisserie smoker all night and woke up to a headache and the signiture cliffs i came to see were veiled by the wood smoke from the night before. I hiked from CA to Canada with a fire ban and didnt see a single campfire. I was incredulous and thought it was absolutely idiotic on the part of the Yosemite Natiinal Park to allow campfires. Is the California culture that entitled? All of CA National Forests are closed, the largest wildfire is underway and the YNP is clearly not protecting the park, its guests, the trees but are 100% cuckoo about permitting. I understand that but if fire danger doesnt come first then the permitting is a moot point. If you're concerned for your safety dont go there.

We had an amazing campsite with a spectacular view! The space was large and easily able to accommodate our large tent as specified. Our only issue was that the holes in the fire rings are tiny and don't allow for much ventilation so it was hard to make a campfire without a lot of smoke, but the campsite and grounds were fantastic otherwise!

Always a treat. Staff throughout the valley were friendly and helpful. Check online water report. If water levels are below 4, take floats and inner tubes instead of large rafts/oars. The kids were having a great time in the water.
