December 28 to January 4 2025 - Spot 13 was nice although Starlink was obstructed, as it would be in probably any site, and worked marginally. We will be returning.

We were very pleased to see the new dump station has replaced the 30 year old station on top of the river. Camp hosts were very efficient and pleasant as usual. Upper Pines was quite full for the first few days of our visit and there seemed to be a bathroom cleaning problem that was, perhaps a lack of staff. The campgrounds are no longer empty late in the season. It may be time to evaluate staffing. But our campsite was great as usual.

Best location close to the entrance and on the side. Campground full but not crowded.

Was great to have a site in the valley (just for 2 days, staying at Hodgdon for the rest). Site 13 is good as it is the first row, so campers on only 1 side.

Site 13 was nice and spacious. Bathrooms were clean. Would definitely stay again.

Really great camping experience. Campground is located in a good spot, very close to trails and shopping.

Excellent camping experience! Valley campgrounds are surprisingly empty in the winter and really really pretty. Heads up, though: the campgrounds are not ploughed and you'll have a tough time getting around in a low car (sedan etc.) even with chains on a dry day. Might be a good idea to park the car outside the campground instead. We also stayed during the Dec 25 snow storm and got about 2 feet of snow overnight, pretty hard time driving out but the rangers were super helpful.

Very basic facilities, small sites, lack of privacy.

The most magical place ever! Would have liked more toilet paper (and soap) in the bathrooms! They were always out.
