Our campsite was #200 and the site was well maintained, however be aware the site has no shade and while we didnt see any bears be aware of the squirrels who are not scared to come close for food. Bathrooms were close by and clean. Host was super sweet and answered all our questions upon check in. The campground is walkable to Mist trail/Nevada falls and curry village. I was extremely surprised a lot of sites were empty knowing how hard it is to book these campgrounds :( overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back here again.

Heads up that Site 200 had no shade whatsoever. It was pretty brutal until temperatures cooled around 5PM. Close proximity to bathrooms, garbage, and wash area. But well worth it, had a great experience.

Bathrooms were clean but a broken toilet paper holder opened and crashed on the guest when paper was pulled. When I heard a little girl scream after this, I reported it to the cleaners. It was taped closed two days later. The latch on one of the three stalls had a broken clasp which was reported but never changed.Upper Pines campground is well maintained and the other campers were respectful.

Yosemite is beautiful. I've been there several times this year. The one downside is the smoke from campfires. I do not get why they allow it. In summer there was a restriction that fires had to be out by 10, but I would love to see a ban on them as the smoke is everywhere

Great location! The spots are pretty close together but thats to be expected in a campground like this. Bathrooms were clean. Would definitely come back!

We chose this location as we also had a wilderness permit for Happy Isles and a Half Dome permit.

The only good thing about this campground is the location. It’s the most crowded campground I’ve ever stayed in and not very peaceful. There’s kids and bikes everywhere. People were walking through my site to and from the bathroom with no regard for personal space. If I stayed here again I would search harder for a better site, maybe backed up to the trees. I’ve stayed in both Lower Pines and North Pines and had a more pleasant experience at both.

The campground was as expected and the amenities were nothing short of normal for this type of site. An early winter storm blew through on my visit and left 18 inches of fresh snow on the ground. It was truly a winter wonderland.

I got a speeding ticket near Wawona. The speed limit goes from 35 to 25 mph, so be careful around the hotel. The campsite was great, plenty of space. No trees on our site, but plenty of trees on the surrounding ones to provide shade, except when the sun was directly overhead. Campsite was quiet, neighbors were considerate, campsite did not feel crowded. Bear lockers easily fit two coolers and more. Bathrooms could have been cleaner, and there was no hand soap. Outlet in the bathroom was removed. People would leave soap at the sinks, but they were taken away. You need to bring your own. Not enough showers at Curry Village, and there was always a wait, but showers are free. Yosemite Valley/Curry Village felt very understaffed. Lines were long at the restaurants and general store, some are not open. They ran out of firewood and ice a few days before we were there, but managed to restock. Supplies still seemed low. We tried to rent bikes one day, and bike rental also sold out by mid-morning. Rafts also sold out. Try to make reservations early. Otherwise, the campground itself was great. Would definitely go back if we could get reservations again. Hike to Half Dome- we left at 5:30 am and should have left earlier. Bring extra bug spray, there were too many mosquitoes on the John Muir Trail. Met a few hikers who ran out of water, so be prepared. There was also a bear off the trail, so be aware, even with other hikers nearby. Still a beautiful park, and we had a great time.
