Always an amazing experience. Bathroom was close enough and 10 minute walk to village store. Rangers were kind and always available.

The campground was clean and well maintained, its a beautiful camp sight with a view of the mountains. The only downfall is that we experienced light rain throughout the night which unfortunately flooded our camp sight.

The park limits generator usage for certain hours and there are no electrical sites available for handicap patrons who have medically necessary appliances (CPAP- my husband stops breathing without this device while sleeping). When we arrived, we checked with the campers next to us and they were not bothered by our quiet Honda generator, in fact, they appreciated the quiet "white" noise. The campground was sparsely populated though the Park Rangers stated the campground was full. There were no available showers or potable water. The campsite was not cleared of snow which a prior camper had attempted to clear leaving the parking spot with dirty snow. and mud. We only stayed one night of our three nights due to these limitations.

We had a beautiful trip to Yosemite in Upper Pines campground. When you make reservations 5 months in advance, you don't know what the weather will be. We were prepared, but surprised when we got about 2 feet of new snow fall the 3 days we were there.

several spots next to us occupied by parties with more then the allowed max of people and tents - party until late and use of generators.NOT the experience you expect in a national park. Rangers and hosts did not interfere.

Yosemite Valley camping for the first time was an incredible experience, especially since getting a spot over the Fourth of July holiday weekend. There are numerous campsites and a huge park overall. The spot (55) that we stayed is a little small for us and cramped. Your neighbors can be heard without a doubt. Additionally, it is close to the restrooms and the Merced River access. Overall, we love it!

How can it not be magical? Campsites are a bit close to others, the closer to the entrances the more trees there are. The further ones get a little sunny. But who needs campsite amenities like shade when your out the majority of the time exploring. Wake up early and explore if you plan to drive, traffic is wild.

Sites were too close to one another. Convenient location to the park though.
