This the Ubhebe crater. There is a small parking lot. Trails around the rim and into the crater. Great views.Clean and well stocked restrooms. No showers though.Dump station with potable water.Pay station located at the entrance.Several restrooms scattered around the campground. Nearby are dishwashing sinks.Very small amphitheater for such a big campground.

Spacious, Some privacy by nearby brush, short walk to 2 toilets, far from dump station.

Good location and good campground amenities.

Clean toilets. Far damp station. No shower available. This is a windy site! No cover and so close to the nearby sites.

Clean campground, well-maintained, friendly rangers, plenty of parking, and wonderful weather.

Mild super bloom but windy. Camp ground was clean, and bathrooms mostly clean. Rangers were nice. Great hiking as usual. Don't miss Mosaic Canyon.

The location of this campground is the best if you want access to nearby food and major DV points of interest. Our dry site was very nice on the outskirts of the campground. The only recommendation for improvement would be to not let recreation.gov allow to book a very short site for a truck and 20 foot trailer. We were told by the Ranger that we would have to park our truck next to a bathroom since parking on the gravel next to the cement pad is not allowed. It was difficult to find an empty spot during a very busy time.

Clean, well maintained campsite. Park Rangers and hosts are extremely helpful, friendly, and professional!

The campsite itself is adequately spaced, and the campers generally respect the environment that they are in. Only one camper kept their generator on while they left the campground.The restaurants are a little pricey, but then we are camping, aren't we? A wonderful addition was access to the pool which was very refreshing at the end of the day.We found that 3 full days was optimum.

Love this campground, clean and quiet. Perfect location for visiting the Ranch and the best jump off point for hiking.

Liked this campsite as we could set up the tent near some trees. Located close to two restrooms. Very neat experience to be camping so far below sea level! Campground, however, was very noisy, with other groups loudly talking, playing music, etc, well past 11pm, and starting up again at 6am.

We enjoyed our 4 nights at site 77.Utilities all functioned well, site was level, and clean.Bathrooms were cleaned daily.Note that showers are not available except by purchasing tokens for use at the nearby resort. We did not use, so can't comment. Overall, the campground was well kept, and quiet.We enjoyed our stay, and would return

Nice spacious campsite with a long lot for an RV and a shorter spot for a single car. Some small trees that one tent can fit under for some shade. Close to bathroom and dishwashing facilities and the visitor center. Great spot!

This is an excellent, clean, well maintained campground that is very busy. Larger RV's tend to camp here and you will likely hear generators and have close neighbors. I do prefer the Texas Springs campground, but that one is very busy and is quite competitive to find a spot at popular times. Furnace Creek, however, does allow reservations so you can plan your trip in advance and be guaranteed a site. There is something to be said for that. I personally prefer the backcountry camping option in various places in the park, but this style of camping is not for everyone. For the right crowd, Furnace Creek campground is excellent.

The bathrooms were clean, and the campground is very conveniently located next to a store and other small businesses like restaurants.

Love this campground! My second time staying here. Bathrooms and wash stations are clean and well maintained. And a super quick walk to the Visitors Center. Highly recommend!!

Campsite was clean and located in great area. Had enough room for 2 tents, ground was level, and site was close to bathrooms. There was little to no shade in the campsite.

This was our second time staying at Furnace Creek Campground and we loved it again. Hope to get a spot with electricity next time but would definitely stay there again. We also loved how we were able to use the pool next door at the Oasis.

Very comfortable campground. Would be nice to have showers. But you can get a pass at the very close resort for using their pool and showers.
@AmandaM8429553 · Camped on Feb 24, 2026 at Campsite #37
This is a very busy, active campground. Lots of action, noise, foot traffic, etc. Great for families who like the hustle-bustle, bike riding, soccer ball passing, rowdy s'more roasting nights. Not so great if you want the quiet, solitude of evening stargazing and slow morning sunrise viewing. Outer loops are by far better than the inner loops.

We loved most of our experience, except for a shocking situation. With 4days left, a HUGE group of 8th graders moved into the campground area, right near the walk in tent section. They were so terribly noisy. I bet there were 75 kids or so. Then a big group of boy scouts (with drums at night) moved in nearby. Againnot in the group sites. This overwhelmed the restrooms and was unbearably noisy. We come most every year, but this year was extremely tough. We reserve site 127, since it is way on the end. This time it was too noisy. Other than that we love Furnace Creek. Weve been coming for 40 years.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
