The campground hosts were excellent with their communication; we thought they kept the campground quiet while being kind and respectful. There was a power outage while we were there and they communicated with us well to tell us what was happening. The campground was clean and people were respectful. We loved getting to see all the stars in the dark sky park, even at the campground with some lights on. We loved how much space we had to play games in our site.

Loved this campground! I would definitely book again. Definitely worth booking several months in advance as the peak season is popular and you can not wait to book. Sitting outside of my trailer with all the lights off made star gazing worth the drive into the desert. Went in early November and temperatures were in the high 80s/low 90s. Unfortunately, flash flooding a few weeks before we went made some sights inaccessible, but will definitely try to come back when there is a new moon to have a more clear view of the stars.

Wonderful campground and very close to the Visitors Center. Furnace Creek is located ideally in the center of the park and most everything is within a 45 minute drive. There are no showers at Furnace Creek. Didnt bother us but good to know.

Sites are close together, but neighbors are respectful and quiet. Little to no shade, bathrooms are clean, camp host was friendly, restaurants, bar, golf all within walking distance as well as the visitors center. Place is kept tidyWill return

Easy to explore the park from this location, centrally located. RV sites with electric had sewer and water which is very convenient. Camp bathrooms are well maintained so is the site overall. Peaceful in the evening, everyone respected quiet hours. Conveniently located near the ranger station which we used regularly for advice on excursions.

Lovely spacious sites. The gold mine over by Beatty Nv needs replacing. It is within the park. The sun has almost completely ruined the sign. Cannot see enough to know the workings of it

It is Death Valley so there is bound to be environmental harshness, but given that, it was great. The camp hosts were very present and helpful. The 30 amp receptacle worked but was loosely mounted. I mentioned it to them as they rode by and they said there was already a ticket in process. What one hopes for.

I don't know what it is about Furnace Creek but it is magical. The beauty, the weather, the quiet, the sunsets and sunrise, it's ALL good.

The first spot we were assigned did not have power/electric working, so we were given another spot.Rest was as expected - great location and super clean.

Fantastic RV camp site with perfectly working hookups. Really supportive camp rangers. Lovely views and stargazing experience. 11/10 will do again.

It was a great campground and even better that we had power to run the air conditioning since it was 104 degrees in March.

We love Death Valley National park and have been going every year for 20+ years. Furnace creek campground is a great spot especially if you are lucky enough to have the few full hook up sites. The view of the mountains, the stars at night, the spacious sites are all terrific. What is not terrific is the lack of full hook up sites and the horrible cellular service in the park overall. It is a safety concern as well as convenience (paying bills, tracking credit card use (and preventing fraud) emergency car repairs, sudden health emergencies are all very limited to do in the Valley, so plan ahead.

Weve come to cycle in Death Valley for the past 4 yrs. The camp ground is always clean and well cared for. Weve never had any issues. Well be back next year.

Our only issue was the boil water surprise We had a full hook up site so we had not been using the restrooms, where the notices were posted. If the camp hosts had notified those of us on hookups, we would have had the chance to fill our RV tank with potable water. As it waswe only had the fresh water in the fridge. We were also surprised that the check-in kiosk wasnt telling people there was the boil water advisory, so the people who hooked up next to us pulled in and used the bad water until the next day when we told them about it. He camp hosts and rangers were very helpful, we will definitely return.

FHU site 68. Excellent utility placement for Motorhome. Solid power, good water pressure and well placed sewer cap. Very good site separation, but minimal privacy. Excellent proximity to attractions and services in the park. Only ding is sites across the street from the FHU sites in this section have NO hookups, so expect generator noise until 7pm. Most campers are considerate enough to purchase a quiet generator and/or implement a sound shield, but while we were there one camper had a cheap generator that was so obnoxiously noisy it drove us inside. Would like to see a rule imposed against exceptionally noisy gensets, perhaps by dB level. Heck if the camp host can scold me for having a half inch of my car tire on the gravel, they can certainly do something about noise that disturbs a big chunk of the campground.

We love camping at Furnace Creek campground in Death Valley. It is one of our favorite places to camp. It is close to the Visitor Center, the golf course and all the amenities at the Ranch.
