Campsite was clean and located in great area. Had enough room for 2 tents, ground was level, and site was close to bathrooms. There was little to no shade in the campsite.

This is one of my favs! With the resort next door, needs for a shower are covered (at a cost, when needed)Volunteers like Lisa make the arrival experience a breeze, thanks for the quick visit after hours to her as I got checked in without the need to visit the booth. How wonderful!Restrooms are well maintained; bring soap and a towel as only sanitizer and air blowers are offered. Every site is relatively close to a restroom, washing station, and potable water are readily accessible. Stay here, enjoy the stars and a camp fire, hike/explore the valley during the day, and if you dont feel like making dinner there are multiple great options a short walk/drive away. Love love love this campground and the great staff who make it a place to relax and enjoy easily.

It's a pretty good spot, the only problem was some of the sites weren't large enough for a small trailer (Under 20') and a tow vehicle.

Great campground with view of sunset and sunrise, walking distance to visitors center, nearby bike path, bathrooms, and outside sinks for dishes.

We enjoyed two nights at this campground. We were pleased with the location of the campground. We were lucky that all neighbors respected quiet hours. We were also happy that restrooms were clean. Overall great campground, I recommend it and would definitely stay here again.

Had a Great stay only one problem was I needed to charge my power station and I was confronted by one of the rangers about my car running which is a Honda CRV that you cant even hear running so their was really no noise. I needed to charge it because I use a CPAP at night to sleep so we ended up going for a ride to charge it.

We love this campground - sites are open with a lot of space, bathrooms are clean, and it is a short walk to the Visitor Center and also to the "town" with the store, restaurant, post office, Borax Museum, stables, golf course, and swimming pool. We drove down to Badwater to see the lake that flooded this summer, checked out Zabriskie Point, Harmony Borax Works and Mustard Canyon. Near Stovepipe Wells we hiked Mosaic Canyon, also the sand dunes and Devil's Corn Field near Stovepipe Wells are well worth it

Death Valley is amazing. That camp is very central and close by many highlights of the park. It's basic and clean and quiet. A must see is dantes view next to many others.

Wonderful campsite located in the center of Death Valley National Park. Accessible to all attractions! Sites with some trees are better to set up tents. Otherwise, your tent might be blown away by the fierce winds!

Nice campground, but choose your site wisely. The website stated that our site had a fire pitbut it was a community fire pit about 30 feet away right in the middle of other sites that did have their own fire pit. If we had known this, we would have just stayed across the street in the free camping as the fire pit was the reason we booked in the first place.

Campsites are close together but overall pretty good. Bathrooms did not have soap. One RV ran their generator all night but most of the neighbors were courteous. Verizon gets one bar of service.

Clean, well maintained. Reasonable facilities. In the middle if Death Valley there is not much vegetation, but nice/appropriate occasional plants here. Quiet when we were there mid-week. Close to resort so can walk or drive and pick up anything you need.

We had arrived, disconnected our trailer and were eating lunch when we were informed of the park rule: If there is a paved area for your rig, all tires must remain on the paved area. Our trailer tires extended onto the packed gravel of the space. We tried to change spots but the rangers had just gone to lunch. We were in Death Valley for the various attractions in the park, not the campground and moved across the street to Sunset Campground, 230 first come, first served sites. 100% gravel spaces.

Site had a lot of trash. Trash in fire pit, stuck to picnic table and on the ground. Could not place tent stakes in ground at all.

Death Valley is wonderful in November, and Furnace Creek Campground is a good, convenient place to stay. It's centrally located, so it's easy to visit the various places there. The sites are fairly level.

We were somewhat disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathrooms - never actually saw anyone cleaning them and there was always a lot of toilet paper scattered around when I went to use them. (It could have been the low quality toilet paper that ripped apart far too easily...) Realize many places are short staffed these days - kind of feel like that was the case here.

We experienced another great camp out at Furnace Creek campground. The camp hosts and rangers were friendly and informative, and the bathrooms were kept clean. My only complaint was the length and width of the parking pad for our trailer and truck. We were unable to park our truck at our campsite because the asphalt was only long enough for our 21 foot trailer and not wide enough to park our truck beside or in front of it. We were told that all wheels of our truck and trailer had to be on the pavement and could not be on the dirt. The campsites are large and can accommodate an expansion of the asphalt. My son was tent camping in the campsite next to us and the parking pad could not even accommodate 2 vehicles on the asphalt. Please consider expansion of the parking pads for this campground.
@MichaelB971 · Camped on Mar 11, 2021 at Campsite #60
The Recreation.gov website isn't very helpful. We put in our trailer details and assumed that would cover our tow rig as well, but when we got to our site there was only enough room for our trailer and had to park in overflow. For Death Valley, I'd recommend parking in the overflow camping, unless you're lucky enough to get hookups at Furnace Creek. $26 for a small asphalt patch isn't worth the premium.
