I love Furnace Creek campground. Its a perfect location in the park and the spots are spacious. It was very hot this trip so that was t great - but not the parks fault! The staff at the check in kiosk - especially a dark haired younger woman - was pretty unfriendly and unhelpful. I understand that the staff are under a lot of pressure but it was the first time I have not found national park rangers to be friendly.

Be prepared - there are no showers at this campground.Places to see: Ubehebe Crater (less driving if you approach via Beatty NV and Rhyolite; et there by midday!), Mesquite Sand Dunes, everything on highway 190, and DANTE'S VIEW! Worth the drive for sure.

We stayed in space 13 with a 25' motorhome. Great site. Very level with open view to desert scenery. Right across from the public restroom. Rangers were very nice and helpful.

Great experience! Though full, the campground did not feel crowded. The grounds were clean and staff was friendly. The asphalt parking pads are spacious and very level. There are clean restrooms with running water and flush toilets (always a plus) and potable water stations throughout the grounds. Easy driving distance to Badwater Basin and other sights. Almost adjacent to the campground, is Furnace Creek gas station, with reasonable prices. Weather permitting, the night sky offers great star watching, with little light pollution. All-in-all, we had a great first-time experience and will be returning.

It's a nice place, level sites, calm - and nice view from all sites.

We got in late and left early. We were probably the worst thing about the experience there, as our car alarm went off at 10pm. Sorry!

Other than us, it was better than expected. Bathrooms were super clean and well maintained.

Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Night sky was fantastic with several shooting stars and satellites flying over.

The staff in Furnace Creek campground were very nice and helpful. The campground itself is a little tight, and (obviously) very barren, but the campers were all well behaved and friendly. The facilities were good, except there weren't any showers (although we became aware of some nearby showers we might sign up for).
The restaurant offerings looked like typical National Park fare, and were expensive. The store had an assortment of camping food.
Must see: Badwater Basin, Artist's Drive, Zabriskie Point, Mosaic Canyon, Mesquite Dunes. Beatty NV and Rhyolite are interesting. No groceries at Beatty, but "cheap" gas/diesel helps pay for the 60 mile round-trip.
Time your visit so the moon comes up late evening or early morning, so that you can get a good look at the Milky Way.

Despite being close to town, there is no phone service in the campground.

The campground is nice and the staff is friendly.

Clean campgrounds and bathrooms; a nice mix of exposed and covered sites, depending on your preference. Great location. We stayed in campsite #13, which was close to the bathrooms (without being "too" close, if you know what I mean) and had a nice open area behind us. No cover though, so I wouldn't recommend in warmer months. Perfect for cooler months as we were able to sit in the sun!
