This was my first time camping alone. I felt completely comfortable. The campground was clean and quiet.

Campsite was shady, quiet, very clean. Local funding has kept services active, despite shutdown. Funding is week to week, so this may change at any time.

Good camping spot with trees close by. Restroom and dish washing station were not far either. By far the most comfortable camping spot out of the three I stayed at on my recent trip.

Site 106 was great, you can put tent in the shade under the trees. Camping is very clean and you can't beat the location being inside the park. Plus if you don't won't to cook, restaurants are very close - 5 min walk.

Beautiful and perfectly located campground. Only issue really was the RV generators running all night long! And a neighbor with a continuously barking dog. Ear plugs will help for the next visit. Otherwise the bathrooms were relatively clean, though wish there was soap and a hand dryer.

Great camping site. I love how the spots are well spaced, the facility is well maintained, and the staff dropped by to notify us of an upcoming wind advisory. Great location that is a close drive to the main attractions in the park.

We had a nice site #106 under a mesquite tree. It was close to the bif and we had a a few neighbors. It was a bit noisy especially when one of the neighbors put a loud radio on very early in the morning. Wish that would be discouraged by whoever is in charge. The campground host was pleasant and friendly but didnt have answers to our questions. Its a beautiful place and wed love to return when more of it is open. Much was closed due to flooding in August of 2022.

One advantage of this campsite is access to the adjacent resort "Furnace Creek Ranch" (or whatever they're calling it these days, not to be confused with the Inn). A few years ago you could pay $5 a day to use the swimming pool, tennis courts, shower house, and horseshoe pit there. That price is now $14 per day as the "Ranch" has gone decidedly upscale. But you can still wander about the rejuvenated property without charge, visit the Borax mining museum, and of course patronize the store, ice cream parlor, and bicycle rentals (the bike paths don't go very far). There are also Jeep rentals there, and an obscenely high priced gas station (better to fill up at Stovepipe Wells). I have camped here during the winter about 5 times over the years, both with my Scout troop and with adult friends. Quite enjoyable. But "Be Prepared" for possible high winds.

A very central location to see a lot of the features in Death Valley. It was nice to have two parking spaces at our site. Close the bathrooms, but not too far. There arent many water spigots in the camp, but not was nice to have potable water available.

We had a beautiful campsite at Furnace Creek with shade. It's always a little disheartening when other campers don't follow directions and clog and mess up sinks and toilets, but issues were handled quickly by the rangers.

The Furnace Creek Campground is ideally and centrally located within Death Valley National Park. The campground itself has almost NO electrical outlets, so beware. The bathrooms are good, but also be aware that there are no showers, and there are not water faucets at the individual campsites either. The biggest addition to the campground would public showers. If you are camping, you will need to bring your solar showers or pay to use the showers and pool next door at the Ranch at Death Valley. This campground is more suited for RV camping, but with that said, there are some lovely tent-only sites in the mesquite trees, if you can get them.

Great place! Campsites were just a tad bit too close together. We had a small issue with our campsite neighbors related to privacy. But besides that, it was awesome!

Love the drive-in tent spots here. I appreciate the work put into minimizing light pollution throughout the campground, and being able to take a walk around at night before bedtime without killing my light accommodation (too badly.) I kind of wish RVers were similarly discouraged from leaving outside lights on all night, and that there was more enforcement of the walk-in tent sites (all were filled were RVs that drove into them when I was there.) However, as a tent camper, this is still definitely your best option for staying central in the park. Also appreciated having a washing station!

Campsite #106 was shaded by trees where the tent is set up! Even the picnic table stayed shaded until nearly mid-day. Close enough to bathrooms and water spouts for easy access, yet not disturbed by any foot traffic. We hit the jackpot! Mid-March was the ideal time to visit. We were surprised that there was so little vegetation in the valley - no Spring wildflowers to speak of, but also no cacti like you see in the Arizona deserts. We did see Joshua trees on the way into the valley, and lots of interesting rock formations with various strata and colors from mineral deposits. We were also surprised at how vast these desert valleys and mountain ranges are.

If you are looking at Death Valley temperatures to plan your trip, keep in mind that the sun is really hot on your skin even if the temperature is not that high. It feels hotter than it is. If planning to see the sand dunes, try to go at sunrise or sunset to view the dramatic contrasting shadows, making sure you leave enough travel time to get there. Also, recommend tasting the salt on the salt flats with a finger.

Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Thanks!

Great camping site! Facilities were kept pretty clean for the most part, just other filthy campers made it dirty. Surprisingly great shade that kept the camp site pretty cool. Restroom was nearby along with water access. The park staff comes by every so often to sanitize the communal areas such as the water sink area. A general store and a gas station is nearby, and the places for sightseeing are all pretty close by. There is no soap at the restrooms, so please make sure to bring your own. It was great to be able to camp a bit during this pandemic times. Bring your hand sanitizer, your face masks, make sure to wash your hands, and maintain social distance so we can keep everyone safe and let everyone enjoy Death Valley!

The campsites are very close to each other and more suited to people camping in RV's or trailers. I was tent camping and had the good fortune that the people next to me were very quiet. My experience would have been miserable if the neighboring campers had loud children, played music, or partied. Also, I was lucky that they did not have a campfire. The sites are so close and so open that campfire smoke could have been intolerable. I would not tent camp here if I had other options.

Excellent campground. Nicely kept restrooms. Furnace Creek location very central to get nearly anywhere in Death Valley. The Visitor's Center is a short walk/drive from the campground. Gas is pretty expensive at the Furnace Creek Station. If you need gas, Stovepipe Wells has better prices as well as a better general store. If you want a great view, make sure to include a stop at Hell's Gate.
