Camped two nights on the first week of April. Check-in is at the gate. Camp hosts made the rounds to keep the camp clean/ in-order; they keep to themselves. Flush toilets were kept clean, no hand soap (hand sanitizer instead,) and kept lit with electricity. Large dual kitchen wash trough with three spigots (but have to depress to turn on.)The ground is solid (very difficult to drive tent stakes.) Look for large rocks at the camp site to use as anchors. It was very windy when we camped. Anticipating this, we used our low profile 4-person tent. Even still, the winds seem to want to lift our tent away. If it not for our weight, our tent could have tumbled away.Camp sites are among the smallest we have experienced. Neighbors can feel close if that makes you uneasy. The kitchen trough set up was the best wash station experience we had. Overall, we had a great time at this campground despite being disappointed to show up to our site with trash (beer cans and coffee cups) in the fire ring. It was easy enough to clean that up.

Ranger was very knowledgeable and gave me printed maps and articles about local geology that I very much appreciated.

Great campground with beautiful views of the mountains. Bathrooms and sick facilities are very clean. Not a lot of privacy, but it is a small trade off to stay in the park.

The campground was spectacular and there was amazing views all around the camp area. We stayed in space 30 which says that there was enough room for two cars but really it only accommodates one large car or truck or two small cars, but have plenty area for setting up tents and a knife, picnic table with some trees around that gave coverage for the windy night, the staff that worked there were so friendly and wonderful and had answers to all of my questions and would come around and let us know anything that we needed to be prepared for. It was a wonderful experience.

Death Valley is an amazing place. Sadly, Furnace Creek Campground was a lowlight of the trip. Extremely cramped spaces. It all feels like one continuous campsite. It was nearly 85 degrees outside as I was trying to fall asleep and the whole campground is choked with campfire smoke. People up late and loud with no one around to intervene. Not the place to stay if you are looking to enjoy peace and quiet or get a good nights rest and an early start on the trail.

When I made reservations I typed in 28 ft rv. However the spot was barely big enoughhad to right angle back in with dead tree limbs in the way! No room for tow vehicle so had to park somewhere else. Not handy and frankly, annoying. Bathroom clean.

We used a drive in site for rent camping. Fairly flat surface. Fire ring and picnic table. Several toilet blocks. Had to walk a little for drinking water but clean and fairly quiet. Sites are close together.

We camped at Furnace Creek for 3 nights with our Aliner pop-up camper, and enjoyed our visit. The sites are not that impressive - concrete slabs, some of them quite close together, with very little shrubbery for privacy - but out of the campgrounds we saw in Death Valley, this was the nicest. The location is beautiful - watching the sunrise over the surrounding mountain ranges (or the multitude of stars at night) was gorgeous. The bathrooms were clean, and many of the most popular attractions in the park are nearby. We purchased day passes at The Ranch to allow for access to their pool and showers (which was a bit steep at $14 per person). All in all, we were pleasantly surprised!

Campsites are too close to each other. No privacy. Our fire pit was so close to the tent on the other site that we were afraid to start a camp fire.

It's a nice camp ground with drinking water and clean bathroom. It's not the fault of the campground but please be aware of the strong wind during evening or night time. You need a strong tent if you camp in tent.

I camped in site 30. The bathroom was third world. In the 4 night I was there the bathroom was NEVER CLEANED. There was no trash can in the women's bathroom. There was no toilet paper starting on day 2 of my stay. One of the toilet was constantly stopped up & obviously overflowed. Third world! Not sure whose job it was to clean & empty the single sanitary napkin trash box. There were wet wipes with feces scattered around it THIRD WORLD style where there is limited sanitation. The campground hosts walked around in pairs putting up registration forms. Some days walking their dog as they worked. A single person task. Better allocation of resource would be one person check registrations and another check bathrooms. Note I did speak to the ranger at campground about lack of a trash can. I was told that birds got in the bathroom trash. So trash cans were removed. Huh? So it's better to have feces wet wipes on the floor or flushed down the toilet. Remeber no toilet paper. Note: I took a plastic bag for my toilet paper since it was non-standard. I was a Peace Corps volunteer. Yep! Death Valley a USA national treasure has Third World Bathrooms.

The campground was great; plenty of room to stretch out. And plenty of room to gather with friends for the campfire. The Visitors Center had plenty of knowledgeable people to help with questions and directions.

Camp host made several rounds in the evening and stopped to answer questions. Facilities were clean and the camping spot was nice. Lot of RVs with bright lights while we were there.
The campsite was too small for our trailer and tow vehicle, yet I was clear on the size when I made the reservations. The restrooms were NOT cleaned while we were there (2 nights - almost 3 full days) If they had been it would have been noted that one of the stalls was locked from the inside so only one stall was available the whole time we were there. I would have thought that with ALL the Federal Regulations regarding masks and such in National Parks, the restrooms should have been cleaned and sanitized at least every day. Respectfully Kim Lachance
Campground is clean and all the visitors camping close to us were quiet. I never heard a radio and the campsites had no trash left from previous campers.

The campground was impacted by Covid... but that's no excuse. We had a 30' parking area for the 24' travel travel trailer. There was 5 EMPTY campgrounds around us were we could have parked our vehicle. Instead, we had to park the car at the bathroom. Very user unfriendly...

Nice clean campground and friendly staff. People running noisy generators all day ruin it for the rest. There is not much privacy in your campsite. I read online that there was 4G LTE cell signal, but Furnace Creek only has 3G (0.5 mbps download) and I had trouble working remotely. Next time I would use dispersed camping.

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
