I appreciated the big sink basins with drinkable water! The camp host was so lovely, friendly, and helpful :)

The campground is very close to the visitor's center, golf course, gas station, lodge restaurants/bar, and general store. It's flat, open, and rocky and suited best for RVs rather than tents. However, Tent Site 010 has its own parking pad - as opposed to other tent only sites that are walk-in. The winds came up for a couple days and were the strongest I've ever experienced, and I advise not planning a tent camping trip if these high winds are forecast.

The picnic table in our campsite was absolutely filthy and covered in grease when we arrived. The camp hosts are also overzealous in enforcing the parking. I understand there are a lot of jerks they have to deal, but don't become jaded and treat everyone that way.

Great spot with plenty of room. Not really a walk-in site, long driveway right next to the site. It is across the actual walk-in sites. Close to bathrooms.

Great campground! Would be nice if they provided handsoap in the restroom (as opposed to hand sanitizer). Also better reflective night signage to get in would be immensely helpful.

Our Campsite was easily accessible (nice and flat, without uncomfortable rocks), convenient to the restroom and had a perfect picnic table. We were lucky to have a paved parking area in the campsite to minimize carrying gear to our site. Our neighbors were loud the first night but they departed the next morning and we had quiet nights after that.

Clean campsite and everything is labeled!

This "walk-in" site looked just like a regular site except that one was not allowed to sleep in the car... very odd. Otherwise a good site.

Hope you have a shower room closer.

The facilities and campsite were nice. Keep in mind the sites can be very rocky, so come prepared with padding etc. for tent campers. Also it was extremely windy so be sure to bring a hammer and stakes to stake your tent down! We didn’t and we totally wish we had!

Overall we had a great time in Death Valley. Furnace Creek Campground is clean and well-maintained. The hosts were friendly. We were in the Valley for 3 days. We had some great adventures and would highly recommend the Artist's Drive and seeing the Ubehebee Crater. Lots of great hiking but make sure you have lots of water. At Furnace Creek, the campsite we were in, space 150, doesn't have any protection from the wind or sun. The description of the campsite stated there was shade. Yes, there are mesquite trees but they're on the wrong side of the campsite to provide any protection. We dealt with not having shade but when the wind came up, with gusts up to 50 mph, we were in trouble. Our tent was leaning at 45 degrees because of the wind gusts. We knew it wasn't going to get any better for about 12-24 hours so we packed up the tent and all our gear in the middle of the night and left. Don't believe the description of the campsite on recreation.gov. There is no shade. There is no protection from the wind. The Park Service should build some sort of shelter for this site if it remains for tents only. Only select this campsite if you're willing to take the chance that there will be no adverse weather or you like camping out in the open with no protection.

We visited in February, so the temperatures were pleasant to be in. Our Furnace Creek tent campsite was convenient to the visitor center. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. We had a very pleasant stay.
We thought the staff in the campsite and the visitor center were very helpful.
