Furnace Creek campground is always a joy. The sites are level, with easy access and departure. Trash is centralized, lessoning pest intrusion near the camping sites. Restrooms were clean and supplied. Easy walk to the visitor center, and easy access to walking and biking trail. Check-in staff were pleasant, and campground hosts were available and amenable to questions.

Excellent campground! Strong water pressure, easy to use sewer hookup, and plugs for 120V, 30A, and 50A. 2 minute walk to the visitors center (free wifi outside the lobby even at night), and short drives to everywhere. Will stay again if I can get this spot again!

Enjoyed our stay in Death Valley. The campsite was clean and well maintained. Central to all activities and sight seeing adventures. Right next door to the Ranch in Death Valley, which offers restaurants, general store, pool. For $14./ day you can use the hotels pool and it is lovely. There is also a jeep rental and tour guide that had well maintained and clean vehicles at a reasonable price.I cant begin to say enough about the scenery. All the places in the parks magazine are well worth visiting

We had an amazing two-night stay at Furnace Creek Campground! The paved sites with water and electric hookups were convenient, and having sewer holes on-site was a bonus. The picnic tables and firepits added a nice touch to our RV camping experience. The campground is family and pet-friendly, making it a great spot for everyone. The bathrooms were nearby, although we didn't need to use them since we had our RV. The entire area was tidy, well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only hiccup was the very poor cell signal, and there was no WiFi from the visitor center. Lesson learned from Stovepipe Campground, so be prepared with alternatives for connectivity. For stargazers, please keep the light pollution down for excellent sky watching! Now, with our RV, we explored various attractions like Stovepipe, Mesquite Dunes, Borax Works, Artist Drive, Artist's Palette, Badwater Basin, Zabriskie Point, and Dante's View.Speaking of which, Dante's View and Badwater Basin offered breathtaking views, making them must-visit spots for everyone. Overall, Furnace creek Campground is a gem, and we highly recommend it for a memorable RV camping experience in Death Valley!

Well maintained campground close to the visitor center. We had hookups and everything worked as needed. The site was drive through and roomy. I'd stay here again. No shade so definitely not a place to be in the summer.

Love this place. Very sad to see all the reserved spots and no one is in them for days.

Summer begins April 15 and all sites are FCFS. It was a hot week in Death Valley and the campground was pretty empty. There are 136 sites, but only 18 with FHU. We paid the higher cost so we could run our AC. The fee was $36, $25 with a senior pass. The entrance shack was not open so we paid by credit card at the pay station at the entrance.

FHU sites were either back in or long pull throughs. Clean and stocked restrooms, outside sinks for washing dishes, dump station, visitor center adjacent, table and fire pit.

We had full bars of 3G but we were really only able to send and receive texts.

We spent 4 days in space #75. Great experience. Wonderful stay. Beautiful area. We didnt know what to expect but thoroughly enjoyed the area and all of the geological wonders in the area. Raved about it to everyone that would listen! Perfect time of year. Late March-early April

Perfect location and extremely well kept Campground. There was a pipe that broke a few spots down from us resulting in the loss of water for many spots. The pipe broke in the middle of the night and was repaired by early morning. I was truly amazed that the repairs happened so quickly. Leading to virtually no impact to anyone. We cant wait to go back.

Somehow it was not clear to me on the website when reserving that there are no showers available here. Despite crowds, campground was pleasant.

This is a wonderful campground. The facilities are nice and clean, the RV spots are large and nicely spaced out. All the hook ups are new and functional.

Great location. We had a site with full HUs, which was great, right in the park. Well kept campground with plenty of spacing betweek sites.

Our first Death Valley experience and it did not disappoint!! So many different things to see and do. We stayed for 4 nights and still didn’t have time to see it all. The campground was in a great location. Walking distance to a little village complete with an ice cream shop, bar, and bike rental shop. The campground itself was clean, cool views, and we were lucky to score one of the full hookup spots. We were near the tent camping spot which had a large group, therefore at times were exposed to noises/music but that’s to be expected in any campground. I have AT&T and only had 3G service (only good for texting. Couldn’t really use internet). We loved it and will be back!

The Golden Canyon, Red Cathedral, Gower Gulch hike is not to be missed. I tracked it at 7.3 miles starting from Zabriskie Point, hiking counter clockwise. The final part of the hike up Gower Gulch is a little tough on the feet considering it is almost entirely on a big rock-strewn wash.

This is our second year camping here. This year we had 1-2 days of very strong winds in February. Last year weather was perfect around the same time. Could be climate change!
