Clean, quiet, Rangers are always great and professional.

Excellent campground! Strong water pressure, easy to use sewer hookup, and plugs for 120V, 30A, and 50A. 2 minute walk to the visitors center (free wifi outside the lobby even at night), and short drives to everywhere. Will stay again if I can get this spot again!

Enjoyed our stay in Death Valley. The campsite was clean and well maintained. Central to all activities and sight seeing adventures. Right next door to the Ranch in Death Valley, which offers restaurants, general store, pool. For $14./ day you can use the hotels pool and it is lovely. There is also a jeep rental and tour guide that had well maintained and clean vehicles at a reasonable price.I cant begin to say enough about the scenery. All the places in the parks magazine are well worth visiting

Well maintained campground close to the visitor center. We had hookups and everything worked as needed. The site was drive through and roomy. I'd stay here again. No shade so definitely not a place to be in the summer.

Love this place. Very sad to see all the reserved spots and no one is in them for days.

Summer begins April 15 and all sites are FCFS. It was a hot week in Death Valley and the campground was pretty empty. There are 136 sites, but only 18 with FHU. We paid the higher cost so we could run our AC. The fee was $36, $25 with a senior pass. The entrance shack was not open so we paid by credit card at the pay station at the entrance.

FHU sites were either back in or long pull throughs. Clean and stocked restrooms, outside sinks for washing dishes, dump station, visitor center adjacent, table and fire pit.

We had full bars of 3G but we were really only able to send and receive texts.

Our first Death Valley experience and it did not disappoint!! So many different things to see and do. We stayed for 4 nights and still didn’t have time to see it all. The campground was in a great location. Walking distance to a little village complete with an ice cream shop, bar, and bike rental shop. The campground itself was clean, cool views, and we were lucky to score one of the full hookup spots. We were near the tent camping spot which had a large group, therefore at times were exposed to noises/music but that’s to be expected in any campground. I have AT&T and only had 3G service (only good for texting. Couldn’t really use internet). We loved it and will be back!

The Golden Canyon, Red Cathedral, Gower Gulch hike is not to be missed. I tracked it at 7.3 miles starting from Zabriskie Point, hiking counter clockwise. The final part of the hike up Gower Gulch is a little tough on the feet considering it is almost entirely on a big rock-strewn wash.

This is our second year camping here. This year we had 1-2 days of very strong winds in February. Last year weather was perfect around the same time. Could be climate change!
