For the small amount of money we paid, we get a security gate, a completely flat parking space for car camping (sleeping in the car), a full-sized picnic table, a fire pit, clean restroom with running water, trash collection bin.Compared to other campground, this is very high value.

Really the only thing noteworthy about this campground is the bathrooms. They are nice with running water and flush toilets. And the fact that you are at a centralized location in the park would be the next feature of staying here. But the camping spots are all very close to each other and that is not my idea of a nice camping experience. Even if they eliminated every other spot you would still be close to other campers. And given that this seems to not be a particularly special location in the desert, with ample land all around I wonder why the cramped conditions. Still if it would keep the crowds down (by providing relatively unattractive camping conditions) maybe that is an advantage overall for people wanting to enjoy the solitude of the park in general. But the bathroom facilities go a long way in my overall rating.

We arrived early evening, paid for site, posted our receipt on post and immediately walked to ranger station to obtain a park pass . ranger station and visitor center closed already. By the time we got back there were two violation notes posted on our vehicle and on our post. The camp host should realize that people visit parks to recreate and de- stress, if it is impossible to obtain a park pass after a certain hour then perhaps wait until morning to harrass visitors for not having one. Sunrise campground. We heard other similar stories of unpleasantness from other campers. The hosts at furnace creek are very nice.

Our second visit to Furnace Creek campground. The sites are close together and we were in the middle of a fiberglass camper group so was a different vibe and not as quiet as last year. The mens restroom is in need of attention and repair. We find it desirable to be at Furnace Creek to be in the center of the park. We love the beauty and vastness of DV and enjoyed the ranger talks! Will stay here again next visit.

We stayed 3 nights. The site we picked (#27) was a bit tight for our rig, but we made it work. Read the site descriptions, they reflect reality. Beautiful nights and stunning scenery during the day. No hook ups but water and dump station were available and tidy. Easy walk to the visitor's center. Unusable cell connection for data, but calls went through (AT&T). Great site for StarLink, wide open sight line. Get out to the Mesquite Dunes for sunrise (30 minute drive).

Great $20(winter rate) campsite! Restrooms were well maintained. Dish washing troths were a nice amenity. Most sites looked to have fire pit & picnic table. More shade trees than I expected, for being the extreme desert. Badwater Basin & Artist's Pallette scenic drive were my fav sites to see. If you have time, def check out the 2 or 3 hotels/Inns around the area. They have a lot of character.

Location was great. Ample room between the neighbor campsites and the restrooms were a short walk (75ft?) away. In one day, my jefe and I visited Mesquite Sand Dunes, Badwater Basin, and Artists Palette, so the campsite is in great proximity to some of the park's highlights. One thing to note is the increasingly worrisome behavior of the park's native fauna. A fearless coyote was scampering amongst the campsites and passed us by within 50ft or so. Great spot nonetheless.

My father and I stayed at campsite #27. The campsite was very close to the restroom, which was well-stocked and maintained. In terms of space between neighbor campsites, there was ample enough room and the fire pit and picnic table were very close to the driveway. One thing to note is the local wildlife is becoming alarmingly comfortable around humans; a coyote passed us by a mere 20 feet when we were getting ready for bed at the campsite.

The park rangers were kind. And the camp ground was so neat and convenience. Excellent!

The bathrooms were nasty. The hand sanitizer was empty throughout my entire 3 night stay. Only one of the two stalls ever had toilet paper. I don't think they were ever cleaned.

Some of the paved sites are very small and no wheels can touch the dirt. Be careful!

Nothing stands out except that cell service is virtually non-existent. There is WiFi at the hotel about 1/2 mile away. The reasonable price

Not a bad place but there is little to no shade so bringing something to help with that is essential.

The campground is clean and well-organized. It has nice facilities like flushing toilets, trash receptacles, water fill-up stations, metal picnic tables, and fire rings. I felt very safe and comfortable here. I would highly recommend Furnace Creek Campground to anyone!

Good campground. Nice bathrooms (however, just FYI no showers available). The campground area is beautiful. The rangers were really helpful and nice. Bonus, our camper van didn't need leveling because the site was pretty flat! Awesome stay overall.

We have tent-camped at Furnace Creek (Death Valley Nat'l Park) about every other November and have always loved the experience (obviously since we continue to return). In 2019 we decided to rent a small RV in Las Vegas and use that for our camping experience. It worked out well. There are very few hook-ups at Furnace Creek but as we only stay for about 5 days it did not matter to us. The camp site and bathrooms are always clean. It is possible to purchase a swim/shower pass from the nearby hotel if you want it. There is so much to do at Death Valley that we highly recommend the experience to all our friends.
