Colorado Heights Campground in El Paso County is located just 21 min south of Castle Rock, CO with an elevation of 7,277 feet. There are a total of 250 campsites. The campground is open all year. Ophir Creek Campground is located in the San Carlos Ranger District, Pike and San Isabel National Forests (57 min southwest of Pueblo, CO) with an elevation of 8,876 feet. There are a total of 30 campsites including 25 tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from mid May to the end of September. 5 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 32 and 40 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Prices start at $23.00 per night. Some amenities include drinking water, restroom, trash dumpster. Activities include fishing, hiking trails, ohv allowed from campsite.
Cheyenne Mountain Campground is part of Cheyenne Mountain State Park in Colorado (just 28 min southwest of Colorado Springs, CO) with an elevation of 6,242 feet. There are a total of 58 campsites including 2 cabins. The campground is open all year. 45 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 25 and 70 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. 46 sites have full hookups (electric, water and sewer). 2 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $28.00 to $120.00. Some amenities include shower, general store, laundry facility, playground, picnic table, restroom, amphitheater, gift shop, flush toilets. Activities include biking, horseback riding, hiking trails, archery, disc golf.
