The person who came and advised us what to do was very nervous with us. Every time we went to the toilet she told us what to do. It's a bit excessive, we all understand and we have to be honest and polite, but this is not a school to constantly explain the rules to us, thank you for understanding.

Site 3 is too small. Won't fit a 6 person tent and a canopy.They have a too varied size of sites. Some are too big and some are too small like mine.

This was our second time camping at Davenport. We love the area and the seclusion.

This is a great quiet, secluded campground. Tents-only, so a great way to escape loud RVs. The sites are clean and easily accessible from nearby parking lots. Some sites can be close together, so you may cross paths with your neighbors pretty often.Our camp host met us the morning after we arrived and was very friendly and attentive. You're provided with a pass to visit Lake Isabel nearby, which is great for a picnic or day hike.The sites are clean, level, and well-maintained. We visited last year and the water pump wasn't working, but it was this time around which was a great improvement. The bathroom could use a bit more TLC, but nothing worse than your usually pit toilet.Overall, a great escape from the busier sites closer to the Denver metro and we had an amazing time!

A great location for tent camping, beautiful with a creek nearby. Campsite 6 is the thru fare of the campground so people have to walk right between your tent and picnic table to get from site to site. Very bad design. Luckily, most other campers were very polite, apologized for having to go through our site and some even went out of their way to go around.

Davenport is one of our new favorite campgrounds in CO. It's an easy, beautiful drive from both the Denver and Colorado Springs metros. The sites and bathrooms were well taken care of. The camp host, Diana, was staying over at Ophir Campground and was extremely helpful and well attentive to both Davenport & Ophir. The grounds are in the Wet Mountains, so be prepared for rain and/or fog (which actually makes the campground so special for CO). There are a couple hiking trails that are linked at the beginning and towards the back of the campgrounds that aren't too difficult, and one follows Squirrel Creek that flows through the sites. One note is to bring water with you, the water is potable but looks more like a chardonnay color than clear.

We love this campground. Hauling stuff in is a challenge, but it was easier at our site this time compare to last year. Some are easier than others. Some of the campsites marked as accessible have stairs which was a problem for us. We enjoy the shade and trees and think that this is a beautiful campground. We will definitely be coming back .

The sites are not ADA. Because of this we traded sites with another group so that they had better access to their site. It wasnt perfect but it worked. Its more like limited accessibility i.e. steps and dirt paths not mowed wide enough. The lip of the concrete pad into the bathroom. Beautiful location. Super close to Bishops. You do hear everyone else at the site. Be aware of off lease dogs, they shouldnt be but there were a couple.

The area is beautiful, with a stream running through the campground amidst pine trees and wildflowers. We selected Davenport because it was advertised as wheelchair accessible AND tent camping only. The problem is that its not really all that accessible. Site 3listed as accessiblehad waist high grass on the dirt path and an inaccessible picnic table. We moved to the site behind it, where the picnic table could be reached on all sides. The path to the sites on that side was very steepmy husband is a very strong manual wheelchair user, but he needed my assistance. This defeats the purpose of accessible camping. He likes to be able to be outdoors without relying on me for assistanceand it makes it tough for us to really enjoy the experience and relax.Even the toilet was difficult to access, since the pavement was just a small squareif the door was opened, the wheelchair still had to go from the gravel up onto the tiny square of pavement. My husband is strong enough to open the door but I am not sure other wheelchair users would be able to. We will not come back to Davenport even though its a lovely campground for able-bodied people. What a shame! It was quiet and beautiful. Just what we were looking forif only it were accessible.

Great campsite. Just wanted to let others know that our girls got 2 ticks on them we found when we got home. One tick tested positive for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Be safe - use sprays, wear protective clothing and check for them frequently.

Lovely visit. We really appreciated this TENT-ONLY site with no generators!!! The camp hosts were wonderful. They were located at a nearby campground and offered to bring us back firewood later in the day. Really, the experience couldn't have been better.

Beautiful and secluded. Trails right by our camp. Will be returning.

Beautiful area, super quaint and idyllic campground. Very quiet and clean. Great access to area activities. Will definitely be back many times.

Only downside, you absolutely must keep food in bear lockers at night - the mice are relentless and will probably chew at anything left out, hoping to find any food. And the wasps this time of year in the evenings are pretty hard to cope with. For that reason, it was difficult to cook after 2:00 in the afternoon. But it's camping, so you know, part of the experience.

Our favorite campground. So peaceful. We are often the only campers when we go on weekdays. We love the creek and layout of the campground! Easy access to great hiking too. And a quick drive to San Isabel Lake for paddle boarding.

Beautiful, well-kept site near a stream with wildflowers around; not too far from Bishop's Castle and Lake Isabel (good fishing!). Having sites 1, 2 & 3 for three related families worked well. Sites 2 & 3 are especially close together. We were sure glad for the shelter at site 2 when it rained. Be sure to study the online map or print it and take it with you. We arrived in the dark and saw no directional signs/map to campsites or water from the the parking lot. (Water is between campsites 6 & 7.) We would be happy to camp here again.

Sites were great, it was quiet.

Campsite 4 is NOT wheelchair accessible in any way. In fact, it's about the least accessible site out of all of them; featuring an entire flight of stairs and slippery bridge to get down to the site. Campsite 6's tent pad is literally right in the middle of a central path, so prepare to have neighbors tripping over your guylines and trampling your tarps
for the entire stay. Otherwise it's a decent campground with easy access to some great trails.

Reserved accessible site with Adirondack shelter. Long walk from parking area and another site was just a few feet away, way too close..

Beautifully out of the way spot, off the main road and onto dirt road in a nice valley. Right near Bishops Castle which is a very intriguing architectural wonder. One thing was we did not realized that tent only meant walking into the tent site. Our experience with tent only meant that the site was apart from RV and camper areas but had a parking spot at the tent site. Not a problem in the end but you might need to know this for your planning. Great camp hosts!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
