Ophir Creek runs through the middle of this campground, and pad sites 1-22 are all more or less on the creek. We stayed at pad site 15, but other members of our group were on 13 and 14. Pad site 14 is very small, and really only suitable for a single tent, but is probably the most private site in the campground. This campground is accessible by any vehicle, though parking is pretty limited and only a few of the sites would really accommodate an RV of any size. One of our party had a small pop-up camper and it barely fit in the designate parking area for pad site 13. This campground is very close to Bishop Castle, Lake Isabel, and multiple hiking trails in the National Forest, including a short and easy waterfall hike which starts from the campground directly behind site 22. The camp host was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Diana was a wonderful camp host! The bathrooms were pristine, the noise ordinance followed and we got a free pass to Lake Isabel. The waterfall hike behind campsite 22 was spectacular. We will definitely stay here again.

May of the campsites do not have flat ground to put up a tent, even though on-line it says you can have two tents. The web site should be updated to state which sites should only have campers at them. However the valley was beautiful and the kids had tons of fun camping. The host was super.

Was very disappointed at the site we stood in, they had cut a tree down in the middle of the site and left it there. We had been down before booking this site and was not what we had planned for. The trash was overflowing and camp host was nowhere to be found. I have been coming to this place since I was a little girl and loved it, but unfortunately this will be my last visit.

Great spot. Well maintained. Water pump went out, but Pueblo was close enough that it didnt ruin the whole trip. Theres a lake close by to fish at where my daughter caught her first fish. There are several hiking trails. The campground is also close to bishops castle.

The location was beautiful, but there was no camp host to open the firewood for purchase, so we had to drive almost an hour to get some. Bathrooms were clean.

The campsites were laid out very nicely. The restrooms were tidy. And the camp host, Diana, was very nice and helpful with suggestions for local activities.

Beautiful campground. I loved it. The hike to the waterfall was amazing. We stayed in site 22. I really liked this site. My only issue with it really was that the hiking path for the waterfall hike really goes directly through the middle of this site. No one was in site 21 so some people walked through that site but I can see it being a bit awkward for some people if its busy and all the sites are taken. This site also shares the bear storage with site 21. Not sure if they all share. Ill definitely be coming back though.

I got to the campground and was assigned a spot that did not exist for my 15' trailer which I had already paid for. There was no camp host to speak with. I went to two additional campgrounds and finally found a site. Had to pay again. When I contact Recreation.gov to file the request for refund I was ultimately denied a refund with some maybe's on why I was denied. I did learn the campground issues the refunds. I have previously camped at Ophir Creek for 3 yrs in spot 3. I will not be returning to this campground and do not recommend it.

There was no wood for sale, nor was the host available. One of the water pumps was broken, had to walk quite a ways to get water. Otherwise it was nice.

Beautiful site, the home to the site was unexpected but worth it

Beautiful!! Only working water is at site 19, bathrooms were super well-kept. Trail to the waterfall goes right out the top of the hill and it was an easy hike, super pretty! Campgrounds were not packed at all Mon-Wed. Creek was FREEZING but the kids loved playing in it. Site 5 was ideal for with kiddos- grass area to run, only 1 site sort of close, bathroom right there. Beautiful view down the valley. Camp host was super helpful and nice!!

Great campground. Spaces are not too close together. Bathrooms were clean. The hike to the waterfall was a lot of fun!

I really like this campground and it's location. However it would be more appealing if the sites were mowed/weedeated. The grass is overgrown .

We had a great experience at the Ophir Creek campground. We booked campsite 13, but the site was still occupied when we arrived. The young family on the site had two young kids, so we didn't want to ask them to leave when a few more open sites were still available. As it turned out, we found campsite eight open, and it was a much better spot, with the creek running right next to our firepit and providing the perfect ambiance for our camping trip. The campsites and bathrooms were clean - well-done camp hosts!

Great campground! We stayed at site 18. We really enjoyed all of the wildflowers and plant life. Clean bathrooms and attentive and friendly host. We will definitely be back.

I was grateful to find my reservation maintained and my spot available, as this function had failed in a previous year due to a missing park host. The campground was free of trash and the restrooms well maintained. Had a great time!

Bring wood and water plus ear plugs to drowned out the chainsaw.This use to be much nicer than it was this time I'm not sure the camp host takes that great of care there was trash and stuff. The worst part was in driving around every camp site had a reservation thing stuck on it you would have to get out of your car and look to see if the site was really reserved or was the reservation for a different month day or was already past. So many who drove in just drove out instead of staying. The host spot was a mess 4 vehicles and the hood up on one so didnt really resemble a host. The water pumps were not working and for 24 dollars a night you should get something maybe water or a camp site that others dont need to walk through to get to there camp spot. I guess I will be going else where for now.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
