Nice spot. The river is calm and not that deep so kids can play in it. Campsite clean. Theres a short hike in Riverside but we didnt go on it. There are 2 areas to park but the one closest to the river is the easiest. Site 19 is the furthest to the right so its also the furthest from the bathroom. There were bundles of firewood for sale for $10 each at the host. They charge $11 per car at the front gate in addition to your reservation, cash or check only.

Had to go get host when we arrived to have him clean fire pit. He wasn't around much, and ran his generator ALL DAY LONG, whether on site or not. Women's restroom was devoid of paper once. Over 4th weekend, host did not keep daytrippers out of tent camping only parking area. I would not recommend rehire. I'm camping at riverside 2 more times. I hope he's more attentive than the first time I camped there in June/July.

Excellent atmosphere especially with the shallow river just past the base of the camp & road.

The site is a little walk away from the parking lot. But really clean, no issues. River is in front of river just crossing a road. Sometimes cars pass and it gets dusty.!

This is a beautiful spot! #10 worked great for our fifth wheel and truck. Bathrooms were clean. No water available so make sure you fill up before you come.

This was a well run campground. The hosts, Roger and Denise kept camp clean and were very friendly. The only reason for 4 stars was camper next to me ran generator a lot but hosts were kind enough to move me to another available site so I could have some peace and quiet.

The camp hosts made all the difference in our stay. They were kind and helpful and a joy to speak with.

Lovely, quiet, relatively small campground with rocky canyon walls and outcroppings, lush pine forest and best of all...the crick.

Spots are all well maintained and bathrooms are kept clean. The river gets crowded quick but slows down in the evening. There is limited parking but there are reserved parking for campers.

It's a great place, just for old people to be climbing hills not really a good thing was the only down fall they said it was 50 yards away to camp from the parking place they didn't say it was up hill, fishing was terrible nobody caught a thing?
@GlendaCFF615E6 · Camped on Aug 2, 2024 at Campsite #13
Super crowded. 75 cars coming into the canon on a day pass then 75 cars traveling back out at the end of the day. People park in the campground and then recreate in the river across the road. Leaving their dogs running around off leash while campers have their dogs on leash. On both sides of our site was 3 families camping together, 6 adults and 7 children running back and forth between campsites screaming playing. The parents were without concern for any piece and quiet or that there were other campers in the campground.

Great location and was a positive experience with two little ones and three pups. Really enjoyed the environment and especially the river.

Nice hillside with trees behind the site. Provides some shade when it's hot. Short walk across the street to the river.

Stayed in spot #5. Tent camping. Great little space, but a 50 yard hike to the car, including down some rough stairs built into a small gulley of sorts. Do not recommend this site if you have littles and if you dont want to haul all of your food and utensils to the car each night to keep them away from bears. The river is right across the road, but it was too high and too fast for us to play in it much.

Nice view of the river from this campsite. The major negative is that it is a walk in tent site and directly uphill. If you arent in good physical shape or cant carry heavy camp gear 60yards uphill, this isnt the site for you. High traffic area as far as the road goes and my glutes have not recovered from how many trips up and down hill it takes to set up camp or go to the bathroom. Bring a wagon!

The campgrounds are cute, however very small, little to no privacy available no matter what site youre at. Thankfully the sites arent expensive because we left and went to a close by dispersed site we like. We were disappointed because we were looking forward to camping near the water. If you dont mind sharing space while you camp, you wont mind this but we wanted to get away, so it didnt work for our needs.

Clean campground with very nice and helpful hosts. The location is good for lower canyon fishing, and a short drive to Lake George. Want to stay here again for sure.

I have camped in 11 Mile Canyon for five years now I really like Riverside this time not so much. This is the first time staying there that they had no water to be shared with the campers. I think this is wrong and really unacceptable. I was told that the water was for the camp host only, and that if I needed water, I could go down to Springer Gulch or one of the other camp grounds that have water. were paying $22 a night to camp on a piece of dirt with a vault toilet? Tell me how this makes sense. Further talking to the camp post, they said it would be impossible to keep water because everybody would be hoarding the water. My suggestion would be you have a piece of paper there with a pencil have a sign out front limited to five or 5 gallons per campsite per day, this way, everybody gets a chance of having some type of water I was also told that it is posted on the website that Riverside is a dry campground.(no water) I looked on website Recreation.gov and I dont see it? You have roughly 18 campsites at $22 a night times seven days a week $2,772 total. How much money do you really need to make that you cant supply water my rent is done just like any other government entity. Most likely nothing will be done about it. Thanks

Amy , our camp host was extremely impressive. Bathrooms were nice , and the camp ground was well taken care of. Weekend traffic on the canyon road is busy but weekdays are less busy. Thank you Amy for everything you do .

It's a beautiful canyon with several nice camps but this one is right on the lower road with a lot of traffic.FYI - This area does not accept e-collars as a leash.

We love this campLocation. We have visited yearly for the past 5 years and have enjoyed the various campsites offered. Our only complaint this time was noise well after 11 pm. For those of us that rise early to be able to catch a glimpse of a deee or an eagle, the nightly partying was disturbing. Otherwise it was a great trip.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
