The campground was nice! I just wouldnt recommend site #11 due to the slant, it was so tricky finding a spot for our tent. There wasnt any ideal / flat areas at this site.

Sites 17 & 18 were very close. Limited cell signal. Water is not nearby as the pictures would lead you to believe. Pads are very unlevel. Very quiet overall, camp hosts were kind.

One of our favorite campsites. Enough space between neighbors and clean bathrooms.

The campground itself was very nice and a great spot for the 4 families that met for a great weekend. The camp hosts were very nice and had great information about the area around the campground. The driveway to the site we originally made a reservation for was graded in a very steep V, which made it impossible for us to back our trailer into. It was also billed as handicap accessible, which was an absolute joke. The picnic table wouldn't qualify as handicap accessible, and it would be possible for anyone in a standard wheelchair, or issues with mobility to get out and walk around the campground. Again, the area was beautiful and the campground in a great area with a lot of access to great outdoor activities. But there's some definitely some work that can be done to make this campground great!

Not our absolute favorite campground but not the worst either. Cons:- Bathrooms dont have any cleaning logs, smelled bad, and had dead flies everywhere for days- No bear lockers- Quiet hours were not enforced - Road to reservoir was right next to the site so you heard the traffic consistentlyPros:- RIGHT next to 11 Mile Canyon which was absolutely incredible. Happy to spend the whole day there! - Backed up to lots of forest areas to explore- Nice fire pits and picnic tables - two great hiking trails around

It was our first time camping in this area and our site provided all that we needed. The location was good allowing us to visit the Florissant National Monument. I am so glad that got protection status. There seem to be a good number of trails in this area but our time limits did not allow for hiking. After seeing the lay of the land I will opt for another site with more space for tents.

Nice area here and very quiet. Bathroom needs to clean and the floor is dirty.

Well run campground. Clean. Sites spaced out. Great little trail system.

Campground was quiet and the hosts did a nice job keeping the restrooms clean. We were at site 16 and we had plenty of shade and convenient trees to hang our hammocks. We had 2 vehicles and a popup camper; we were able to get all three on the driveway but it was close quarters. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

We reserved 4 spots (9-12) at Blue Mountain for the 3rd weekend in Sept. It was amazing. The sites are open and roomy with plenty of places to pitch tents. We had a group of 15 between the 4 sites and it worked out perfect for us. Site 10 ended up being the "home base" where we all congregated and it worked out well. The campground was full for the weekend, but due to the way it's laid out and the size of the sites, it didn't feel full. The camp host was very friendly and helpful. If I had to complain about anything, I would say that the way that some of the parking spots are positioned in relation to the road make it difficult to back in, but it certainly wasn't a huge issue. I will definitely be camping here again.

Well maintained campground with huge spots, tons of big trees, and clean bathrooms.

This was a great little spot. The actual site #18 was a good spot with a couple of flat spots to set up our tents and enough parking to get 2 or 3 cars in. The firepit has a metal grate over the top which made it easy for cooking our food/boiling water. There's a lot of trees around for shade. There is only one vault toilet and one water pump for the whole campground. The toilet was a quick 1-minute walk from site #18 and was one of the cleanest, least-gross smelling vault toilets I've seen while camping before so that was great. There is also a dumpster next to it for disposing of your trash which was nice to not have to drag it back home with us. The water pump was by the entrance of the camp, so a little bit of a disadvantage if you're trying to fill a jug to bring back to your campsite. I'd recommend driving to it so you aren't carrying heavy buckets/jugs of water back to the campsite. There is a staff campsite by the entrance if you have any issues or need to buy firewood. The campground is close to a mercantile if you need to buy more ice or something that you forgot. It's also not that far of a drive to Eleven Mile which made for a great lake day. Although we camp to get away from city life, there is cell phone reception if you need it. I have Xfinity Mobile and had 4 bars. I would definitely recommend this campground to friends and return in the future.

Left early due to loud, rude neighbors. Site is listed as a handicapped accessible spot, but had to dig a 12 inch hole for the left trailer wheel and had to prop up the right side by several inches, too difficult to get in an out of the trailer.

This is a great campground. It’s small and quiet. The only complaint I have is the water pump near site 17 is not functioning and it’s a long walk to the other pump. We usually bring our own water up as the well water is also not treated. The trail within the campground to the lookout is an easy trail with high rewards at the end.
@Christoph37654 · Camped on Jul 9, 2023 at Campsite #6
Definitely love the area. The campsites could use more flat areas for tents. The drive to Florissant is close to get groceries. The general store on your way into the campground is nice but closes early.

Sits not ideal for RVs, we have a 22foot trailer to level lots of blocks. Also road in ruff.

Beautiful area. Everything was great, except that we were right across from the camp host and their generator came on a lot and it was loud. But other than that, it was a great spot..

Many sites need re-grading to make them flat and easily usable. The Forest Service has done little-to-no maintenance on this campground in recent years.

Love this campground - third year in a row that we have three generations meet to kick off camping session!

Beautiful campground! We had a bunch of deer walk past our campsite one night. Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area.
@DebraL9946507 · Camped on May 19, 2023 at Campsite #8
Site #8 was large and shady; the picnic table and fire pit were up a slight hill from the trailer. Due to rain, there were a lot of no shows which meant the bathroom were not heavily used; the dirt roads were passable; the camp host was nice. Make sure to visit Florissant Fossil Beds Visitor Center and there are many great hikes nearby.

Great place to camp, not very crowded and no dust like Riverside Campground. Sites 12 and 17 are the most level, the others require some leveling blocks.

My friends and I came up for a camping trip right before we all left for college and had the most fantastic time. Our campsite was amazing, the bathrooms were clean and Nyla (I hope I’m spelling it right) the person helping run the place was incredible. She was super sweet and made sure we were all set up. If you’re looking for a good place to camp I highly recommend!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
