There is a lovely short hiking trail that leaves from this campground. It didn't show up on the AllTrails app.

Great spot! We camped at no 19, had fantastic views, plenty of room for 4 people and 2 vehicles and it was very clean (even the vault toilets!)! There were plenty of trees for shade and privacy, the sites were far enough apart we didnt hear other campers much. The host had plenty of fire wood to buy, and made the rounds a couple of times, which is nice to see. Will def be coming back!

We got in late and were only spending one night, so we didnt get the full experience, but our campsite was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay.

Overall, this site is in a fairly good location. When we went 90% of the sites were tent camping so it was quiet with no generator noise. The site 15 itself requires quite a bit of leveling. I have a hard sided pop-up camper and it required five of those yellow leveling blocks in order to make my rig level. I think this is the case with most of the sites so if you do not have any sort of way to level your camper, then you are going to be disappointed, otherwise it was not bad. To get into this spot I recommend going to the left at the entrance, not straight this way youll feel like youre going backwards through the campsite, but itll be a lot easier to back the trailer in. It is about 50 to 70 yards from the bathroom. We did not notice a smell the vast majority of the time but as a warning, it is very close to the bathroom but for us it was not an issue in terms of noise or smell. we come to blue Mountain once or twice every year, at least, and every time it has been fine and we have no issues with the campsite overall and enjoy it.

We had a great weekend here using as a basecamp into Eleven Mile Canyon to fish the South Platte. The camp sites were reasonably sized though we had a little trouble finding a good flat spot for the tent. The bathrooms at the site were impressively clean. The trail over the ridge to Riverside Campground is well cleared and marked. The campground worked great for us. Highly recommended!

My friend and I went on a last minute trip just to get away from the city, see the stars, and take a break from college and job stress we got to site 004 around 7pm when it was dark, set up, and made a fire. The site itself was awesome for a last minute campsite. Its right across from the host site, but still secluded enough that it doesnt feel like youre crowded. The hosts themselves were lovely people who checked in on us and exchanged pleasantries when we walked past their site. (It was my friends first time camping, and as two younger college kids, it was nice to feel safe knowing the hosts were there and very friendly/welcoming if we needed help with anything.) The site itself has a small set of steps up from where you park your vehicle, and the table and fire pit is about 10 feet away past some trees and up a small hill. There was a clearing where we could stargaze, and we had no issues with noise or anything like that. Theres a small trail about 50 feet away from the site, which is very worth exploring if you get the chance! The bathrooms are vault toilets that are shockingly clean, which was unexpected (yet very exciting for two city kids lol.) This campground is so worth visiting, especially if its your first time camping or youre looking for an easy and peaceful trip. We saw a ton of wildlife as well! The land is healthy and thriving, and is fantastic for an early fall trip when the aspens begin to turn color! My friend and I are already planning to come back the next time we have a break!

# 14 Campsite is placed in a ravine, when if it were to rain it may flood... not good layout planning. The site I booked was quiet and secluded, still adequate size to back in a 27 FT. Travel Trailer and vehicle.

Pull thru site #19 was just a wide spot in the road. No good for a camper. Heavy erosion. This site needs to be rebuilt.

All sites need dirt grading and fill - all are severely un-level for an RV. I drove our camper on top of firewood (placed atop my regular shims) to get it anywhere near level. Much erosion at all sites. The 'handicapped' site at which we stayed had zero accommodations for anyone impaired. This is a nice campground that has been completely ignored as far as regular maintenance for the sites. This is not the campground host's problem - this is the U.S. Forest Service doing nothing but collecting money for the sites. Inexcusable.

Be aware, this is not suitable for a Handicapped camp site at all. The spot for the camper is on a very inclined and uneven hill, making it extremely difficult to impossible to level the camper unless youve brought an unusual amount of your own supplies to do so with. However, even if you manage to precariously level the camper, you still will face a VERY long step down from the camper on VERY sloping ground and rather loose fine gravel. Youve just camped on the side of a rather steep hill basically. Doable for a fairly athletic person, but certainly hazardous if you intend to have a couple of beers at most, and possibly dangerous if you might need to get up at night and walk to the bathrooms. Which I should mention, are about 100 yards away back up around the gravel road. But certainly a dangerous trek in a wheelchair, especially back down the road even in daylight. Again, a long difficult and somewhat treacherous distance for a Handicapped Spot! However, the restrooms were very clean and well maintained! As are the roads and all the campsites. It was very quiet there during the weekdays we were there, Monday Tuesday and Wednesday, but we left one day early because of the difficult incline of the site. It was Just too exhausting and becoming dangerous getting in and out of the camper. We saw other sites at this campground that would possibly be suitable for handicapped, but none I could really recommend as Handicapped. In fact, this site is probably the least suitable site in this campground as Handicapped. Otherwise a very nice quiet dark sky place for healthy mobile or athletic young families .

This is a beautiful campground near 11 mile reservoir. This site has a picnic table and a fire ring. there are bathrooms and a pump spigot a short walk away. Only downside to this site is that it is definitely on an angle so you might slightly slide downward trying to sleep depending on the angle of your tent. There is a decent amount of shade.

Campsite 19 is basically a pull off on the road with a super steep area for the fire pit. It was not safe to stay with our kids. This shouldnt be part of the campsites offered, or clearly explained before booking.

Great campground- clean, easy to get to, good size sites, well maintained and everyone was respectful. Good easy hikes right from the campground and easy to get over to the canyon/reservoir. We will return!

The campground was nice! I just wouldnt recommend site #11 due to the slant, it was so tricky finding a spot for our tent. There wasnt any ideal / flat areas at this site.

The campground itself was very nice and a great spot for the 4 families that met for a great weekend. The camp hosts were very nice and had great information about the area around the campground. The driveway to the site we originally made a reservation for was graded in a very steep V, which made it impossible for us to back our trailer into. It was also billed as handicap accessible, which was an absolute joke. The picnic table wouldn't qualify as handicap accessible, and it would be possible for anyone in a standard wheelchair, or issues with mobility to get out and walk around the campground. Again, the area was beautiful and the campground in a great area with a lot of access to great outdoor activities. But there's some definitely some work that can be done to make this campground great!

Not our absolute favorite campground but not the worst either. Cons:- Bathrooms dont have any cleaning logs, smelled bad, and had dead flies everywhere for days- No bear lockers- Quiet hours were not enforced - Road to reservoir was right next to the site so you heard the traffic consistentlyPros:- RIGHT next to 11 Mile Canyon which was absolutely incredible. Happy to spend the whole day there! - Backed up to lots of forest areas to explore- Nice fire pits and picnic tables - two great hiking trails around

It was our first time camping in this area and our site provided all that we needed. The location was good allowing us to visit the Florissant National Monument. I am so glad that got protection status. There seem to be a good number of trails in this area but our time limits did not allow for hiking. After seeing the lay of the land I will opt for another site with more space for tents.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
