Great little campground near lots of recreation. Camp host was attentive and helpful. Sites were clean and restrooms were clean and stocked.

We enjoyed the large campsite that had many trees and shade, while also being in easy walking distance to the restroom. The camp host was pleasant and helpful. She was present and attentive to activities in the campground. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect road for my grandson to ride his bike. Really liked the trail for hiking with the grandson. Nice campsites.

Loved the location, which was away from the city. You could still hear occasional traffic close by but not often enough or terribly disturbing enough to ruin the ambiance of the scenery and peacefulness this location offers. We were at site 12 for one night. The bathroom was close by and clean. It smelled amazing for being a port a potty/out house. You aren't too far from the Platte River and there is the Deckers restaurant and store a ways away also if you need additional comforts. Most in our party didn't have a phone signal but who wants to be bothered while your camping?? Loved it!!! I definitely recommend and will be back again to stay longer. Thank you for a wonderful trip away from home for our family.

Good campground. If pulling a trailer, I recommend stopping at the beginning of the loop, walk to find your campsite so you know which direction to turn at the beginning of the loop in order to back into your campsite easily. Some of the campsites are angled in a direction you will not be able to back-up successfully if you turn the wrong direction. There is no room in the campground to turn around and you have to leave the campground to find a location to turn around.

Always enjoy staying here, the wildflowers were beautiful and the trails nice.

Overall, a good little campground and I would stay again. No camp host, which was annoying when one site was playing music until midnight. For Site 6, the walk from parking to the site is a bit annoying compared to other sites.

We had a great campsite but wished there were some campsite photos to look at before reserving. Also, we never saw a camp host while we were there.

The campground is decent, but this area is currently experiencing a tussock moth outbreak. During summer, the caterpillars are everywhere. Several people in our group had mild/moderate allergic reactions to the caterpillar hairs (rash, cough, shortness of breath).

The campsite was great. There were many trees, and the vault bathroom was clean and well-kept. We were on the outside of the loop, and the kids had a lot of space to explore and play. Plenty of room to set up hammocks. The downside was I wish we knew there was a tussock moth outbreak before we arrived. We showed up in the rain, so we didn't see any signs of them until the next day when it was too late. Thousands were all over our stuff. We saw the sign not to touch and did our best, but the cocoons & eggs were all over the underside of the picnic table. They were falling from the sky - from trees and our shade. We didn't have any initial reactions, but after getting home, the entire family broke out in hives covering our bodies. Seemed like a delayed reaction. Packing up took three times as long because we needed to ensure we weren't bringing them with us when they were covering and trying to build cocoons in our tent and all of our stuff.

Sites are all on a grade, needed to raise one side of camper six inches and modify the stairs to be able to use them.

The campground is great but the vault toilets were some of the worst I have ever seen. They were so full it wasnt really usable. These must be cleaned out as this is part of what you are paying the fee to camp there.

The reservation process was really simple and we had no issues with obtaining our site as reserved. We did experience a lot more bugs than we are typically use to experiencing when we camp. Which was awkward and bothersome. We arent sure if it had something to do with the sites location or the time of season (July) but the horse flies and caterpillars where invasive to say the least. Not sure if there are steps the owners of the site can take to minimize this, but it might be worth looking into. Also, there was high grass all over our site which made it difficult to fully utilize the space for tents, outdoor activities, and games. The fire pit appeared to be newer and was well maintained. It is a quiet and beautiful place with lots of shade and rock formations. Close to Deckers and the rivers. The vaulted bathrooms are small and were not cleaned out periodically through out our stay so being close to the Deckers convenient store with a flushable bathroom was definitely a bonus. Overall, the site was nice and we had a great time. Recommend for parties needing 2 or less tents.

Kelsey campground is great, love the location and size of the campsites. However, the camp host wasn't very attentive this year.

This campground is a small loop. Very quiet. The trail head is on the campground loop, so I was able to hike the 14 mile trail right from camp. We brought our trailer and our site was not level. We had to do some serious improvisation in order to level out. Vault toilets clean. Great night sky views. Would come back.

We had fun hiking the trails around the campground.

This campground is close to a major road. So about 5am expect to be awaken by steady traffic. There was also lots of caterpillars all over. Must be an infestation. Other than that, we had a fun time.

Not the hosts' fault but there was extremely loud trance like music coming from somewhere outside the campground from 9:30pm to 6:30am. We left a day early so we could get some sleep. Also the sites are very sloped.

I love this campground. This is our second trip. We were shocked to have cell service this year, the year before we had none. The location is wonderful for hiking and exploring. The only downside was the fact the bathrooms needed attention. This is likely our timing as the bathrooms needed to be drained of waste.

Great campsite
@SheriA6675326 · Camped on Jul 8, 2022 at Campsite #13
We stayed in site 14. It was easy to back into, shaded, a private site, and we had a couple bars of cell service on AT&T. The bathrooms were clean. It would have been a 5 star review, but our site and many of the others are not very level for RV's. We needed at least 6 inches side to side and almost 2 feet under the tongue to get our RV level.

Superb site with pad sites of reasonable size and plenty of open space to explore. Our site was on the CO 126 side and had minor traffic noise, but mostly during the day. Great for tent camping, especially, which is what we were looking for. And lots to explore for the kids. Water supply is fresh and fairly convenient - we walked to and from. The trail from the campground is gradual and friendly for any skill level, but it is very popular with mountain bikers, so watch out if you are hiking with little ones tagging along. We look forward to staying here again. NOTE: As some other reviewers have said, the map showing the pad sites and amenities is inaccurate, especially for the restrooms, garbage, and water. The pad sites are fairly accurate.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
