Lovely location. Extremely clean facilities and the camp host was amazing and even checked in on us after a storm. We will definitely be back.

I've always loved Bear Lake. Before we left on the trip, we learned that many of the trees had been cut, and we were bereft. Then, getting there, we saw the absolute fields and mounds of wildflowers, and the beauty that was still there in abundance. I love it as much or more now and we'll be back next year.

Site 14 should never have been open for reservations. We were able to make a 4 night reservation from July 21 to July 25. When we got there we were shocked!! The trees on this site and much of the area had been leveled flat by tornado winds 2 1/2 years prior according to the camp host. They had cleared the other sites by Site 14 had tree stumps throughout with tree limbs littering the area. It was a hazard! Also, there was NO TABLE even though the site amenities said there was. The host gave us a folding table to set our camp stove on but we had not place to site. So we ate standing. The host was surprised we were allowed to make a reservation. I see now on the website that this site CLOSED. Would have been nice if someone from Recreation.gov had contacted us to explain the conditions rather than us driving 3 hours to arrive at a chaotic mess. I'm extremely disappointed that nobody reached out to us about the sites condition.

Cute site at #3 by a creek. Unfortunely they lost alot of the trees in the campsite due to a winter storm w/wind. So not alot of shade. Restrooms are clean and close to the Bear Lake.

Beautiful campsite with creek flowing through it; steps from the lake stocked with plenty of trout whole family had a blast and we plan to come back

The area has been cleared of all trees because the wind damage and there is no shade in Blue or Bear Lake campgrounds. The camp hosts at Bear Lake are wonderful people and very accommodating.

The campground host was very helpful. He told us about several hikes in the area and we enjoyed them all. We would not have known about the Vista Point Trail near Cordova Pass. The views were well worth the drive and short hike.

We did not get the site that we thought we would, the site that we booked was two small for our travel trailer, so we took the only other site that was open, but it did not have a picnic table there, also we were not aware that the entire campground had lost almost all of its trees to some kind of a disaster. So, we ended up leaving a day early. And have no thought of going back anytime soon.

This beautiful campground was devastated by a storm that came through couple of years ago. The winds were very strong- not sure if it's due to lack of trees or weather. The fishing was GREAT! The hosts were wonderful!!!

The campground is heavily used. Our campsite had human feces scatter about with toilet paper about 15 yards from the fire ring. We moved sites. The host is very pleasant and tries to accommodate everyone’s needs as much as possible. Gorgeous area with some nice hikes and wild flowers. It’s a shame too many people are not good campers. Keep Colorado beautiful and wild people!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
