Site 21 is a wonderful site. Close in proximity to water and restrooms. Camp Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful site. We dont often go for group sites, but it was very nice. The bathrooms were truly immaculate with very limited odor. The camp hosts were so nice and attentive. Our only complaint is the wood bundles bought from the host would not light for anything. We needed up buying two more and finally the 3rd bundle lit well enough for us to get a fairly large fire going.

This was our first time visiting this campground. We have a 24 foot travel trailer and stayed in site #9. Its a back-in site but the angle is impossible to back-in so we just pulled straight in. The parking pad at this particular site is also not level whatsoever so our trailer stairs didnt even reach the ground. It does have a nice flat dirt pad by the fire ring for tents however, so it would be a much better spot for tent camping. The womens vault toilet was very clean and did not smell at all, but my husband and son said the mens toilet was full of flies everywhere and would land on their bare bums while using the toilet. The campground host Sue was very nice and we saw her driving around the campground multiple times a day to check in on everyone. The trail down to the reservoir is beautiful and an easy hike. The dirt road to get to the campground is a complete washboard and very bumpy, but they were grading it when we left which was a much easier drive, especially towing our trailer. The views are gorgeous and we did get a bit of thunder and rain every afternoon we were there. Overall we will definitely be back, just never in site #9 (again its perfect for tent campers though). If you have an RV or trailer, sites 10 and 11 are pull-through and completely level and have an amazing view of the lake. Site 7 is level and pull-through as well, just without the lake view. There is no dump station at this campground either.

We camped in site 3. There is a tree on the west side of the site that is prohibiting to slide outs on trailers and most likely would suite campers better if it was removed.

We were in space number 11. There was a nice pull through flat spot for our pop-up camper. Be worn though that if you were in a tent, there are no level places for tents besides right next to the picnic table and the fire pit. That seemed to be the situation for most of the campsites. The campground itself is small with good spacing between campsites and the restrooms were clean. There is a short trail, leaving right from the campground down to the reservoir, which was wooded and beautiful. If you go left when you go down there instead of right, the reservoir quickly turns into a really nice river worth following and a bridge to get to the other side of the river and reservoir. For us, that hike was the nicest part of staying at that campground.

Great campground. The signs direct you to go right, but some the sites are facing you the wrong direction to back in a trailer and will need to enter from the left.

Very clean and quite, great views of the reservoir. Will go there again.

The camp host was friendly and helpful. The campground was clean and well maintained. The views were beautiful and the trail down to the reservoir was a nice hike.What people may not know is there is four miles of washboard road before you turn in to the campground, it gets pretty rough where it may rattle your teeth. We also experience horrible wind throughout the night, gusts up to 50 miles an hour, so be prepared for the potential of that if you are tent camping. We were in a pop-up and I thought that our top might get torn off.

Lovely camp ground with a very nice host. All sites seem to have some shade, but if you want more shade choose a site on the outside of the loop.

Great camping area. We ended up walking around the whole reservoir the first day. Then we had a great time kayaking on the reservoir. The campground was quiet, peaceful, and very enjoyable.

The campground was beautiful and the bathrooms were kept very clean. We stayed in site 4 and it was on a pretty big hill and was hard to find a decent flat spot to put our tent. Tent pads wouldve been very helpful as a lot of the sites seemed to be on a hill. Other than that we loved everything!

Here are some good and bad. Long walk to the lake. Sites are not level and need repairs. Campsites are close together. Great fishing.Great camp host.A lot of wildlife. A bear came within 50 feet of us. Beautiful views.

The campground itself is fine, but my campsite, number 12, was the worst in the entire campground. Upon arrival, we saw it, and luckily there were other campsites available, so we moved number 12 is on the edge of a barren hill, looking out over a barren landscape. And the wind was so strong, we were unable to do anything, so we had to move.

As always a wonderful experience but this time we had the best camp host ever! Jan was so pleasant, helpful, and kept the restrooms the cleanest weve ever seen anywhere. It is one of the highlights of our summer camping to go up to Thunder Ridge to relax and enjoy Gods beautiful creation!

Beautiful spot, amazing views. The only downside is right next to the parking spot is a trail to/from the lake that is very busy throughout the day. I car camp so the privacy was not as good as I would have liked, other than that, amazing. Rampart never disappoints!

We visit this campground at least once every summer. Its always beautiful and quiet. The wildlife include turkeys, deer, chipmunks, and we even spotted a bear once. Bathrooms are always clean. Campers are usually in smaller trailers and tents. We love the easy hike from camp down to the reservoir. Fishing is also great! It can be a bit windy at camp and storms can move in and out quickly so always be prepared for weather.

I love the Thunder Ridge campground, great sites and not too crowded, with easy access to the reservoir. The host kept the sites maintained after each group, and bathrooms were clean as well. She was also available to purchase wood. And check-in at the entrance was a breeze.

Fantastic campground. Lovely views. Awesome hosts. Good sized sites with room for our group of young and old people to enjoy our sites. Primary reason it's 4 stars is the rule about not swimming/wading/body contact with the water at the reservoir but no one could explain why. Also, some of the sites, the tent pad was at such a brutal slope I almost slept on the table for a level surface.

Pad wasn't big enough for tent 10x10 so make sure you double check. Luckily our space was big and we put our tent out in the grass and host didn't mind. Clean bathrooms, short walk to lake!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
