Wonderful campground close to town but you still feel far away! The camp host was friendly at check in and we loved being able to enjoy live music from our campsite. Clean bathrooms and easily accessible water and trash throughout the campground. The short walk to Manitou lake was wonderful as well. Overall a great weekend, would definitely come back .

The camp host was very friendly and helpful with suggestions on places to explore. Campground and bathrooms were clean. Biking and hiking around the campground was superb.

We have a longbed truck and a 31' 5th wheel. There are only 3 places there that can handle this length, all straight. Most of the sites are half circles bordered by trees. We were able to get into one of them, but an overhead branch bent the awning bracket and the ground was so uneven that we torqued the hitch and had a devil of a time getting hitched back up. We had to be very clever with ramps on both trailer and truck wheels. The host helped us in getting our previous site refunded, and a better site that was straight and more level. It's a beautiful campground, perfect for small units and tents! There aren't hookups at this campground; only 2 sites have electrical. So reserve early if you need one of those. Once we finally got settled, it was lovely. There's a lake next to it that's about a 3 mile easy walk to, around, and back. Lots of fish there. This is within a 10 minute drive to Woodland Park but feels more secluded than that. Enjoy!

good location for many activities. We went to the Woodland Park Farmer's Market and the brewery. We also took our kayaks to Eleven Mile Reservoir. The campround has a path to Manitou Lake. Lots of hiking trails nearby.

Colorado Campground is a great campground! The hosts were terrific--very friendly and helpful. The campsites are shaded all day and are very large. It was quiet and peaceful at the end of August. A great place to camp with young children and Lake Manitou is easily accessible from the campground. The pit toilets at the camp were very clean and well maintained. We are looking forward to going back next year.

The campground is wooded and scenic, the sites were very large and nicely space. There were plenty of vault toilets and all were very clean. The campground hosts were very friendly. It's an easy walk from the campground to nearby Manitou Lake and the campground is only 10 minutes outside of Woodland Park.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. The camp hosts this year are amazing. So nice!! They escorted us to our site and helped maneuver into the spot. Peaceful and quiet trip. Bathrooms were spotless

This is a beautiful campground with lots of shade. The sites are big, so you don't feel that you are right next to your neighbor. Manitou Lake is small, but within walking distance of the campground. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful. We brought a generator that would not even operate the A/C and, when we mentioned it to Chris and Kathy, they said we could borrow theirs for the night. The toilets were kept clean as well. My 5 year old grandson enjoyed the story telling and sing along at the amphitheater. The only improvement would be making more sites electrical. We will definitely be going back.

The only reason I didn't give this campground 5 stars, may have been more my own fault than anything. I 'should' have looked closer at the listing I was booking. I "thought" I was getting a site with electrical, but I was mistaken. So, my only wish is that, they had more sites with electrical.I have to say that, this campground is a "beautiful" location. It's tucked away in a beautiful forest, with lots of trees shading the sights. If you have a larger rig (27 feet or longer) with a large truck pulling it, I would recommend that you use one of the pull through sites for the larger rigs. We had a 29-foot travel trailer, with a Ford F250 Super Duty truck (full crew cab and short bed), and we had to park the truck parallel to the road in front of the trailer, or the truck would stick out halfway into the loop road. It was also kind of a tight fit getting it backed in, but I was able to manage.I wish I had taken a few pictures of, and around the site, as well as the rest of the campground.I also have to say that, the campground hosts were GREAT!!!They were SO supportive and "Helpful" to my wife and I, through a "number" of crisis (which had NOTHING to do with the campground or the campsite). So... HUGE KUDOS to them for all their help and support.(btw: That was only our "second" trip in that brand-new trailer and, recently purchased, 10-year-old truck. We "should" had made a few more "shakedown" trips, closer to home.)Parting note: I'm sure that you will truly enjoy this campground. It's a "beautiful" location, not far from the beautiful, and friendly town of Woodland Park, Colorado.

Nice campground with friendly hosts and clean restrooms. Overall, a nice campground, from what I saw none of the spots have tent pads which is a bit of a downside

Wonderful, quiet hosts came to the campsite to welcome us. Enjoyable experience. Short walk to the lake

Really nice campground with very friendly hosts. Bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. Short hike from the campground to the lake too! Far enough out but close enough to run to town if you forgot something. 1 bar for AT&T in certain locations

The campground hosts, Chris & Kathy are the best! They were so friendly and helpful and do a wonderful job. I have been there twice, and they treat me like an old friend. They take such good care of the campground. Many thanks to them for a great stay!

We found our campsite to be well-maintained. My five-year-old enjoyed the sing-along in the amphitheater on Saturday night. With our campground pass, we were able to access Lake Manitou by car for free.

Colorado Campground was well maintained with clean bathrooms. Even with a full campground we had plenty of space for ourselves. The camp hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. They made regular checks of the grounds and were available as needed. Great place. We will return.

The camp site is kept up very nicely, bathrooms always clean and honestly they rarely smelled bad. The hosts were absolutely amazing and so sweet! We would definitely camp at Colorado Campground again

Great camp hosts. Helpful and kind. Sites are not that level. Nice to have access to the lake at no additional cost. Popular with fishing and paddle boarders.

We camped at site 22 at the Colorado Campground! Its within a short walk to the lake, and you can hear the Pelicans (yes, in Colorado!) at night. We brought our two kids and dog and it was a great experience. This site was great distance from the outhouse (didnt get much of a smell from it, but it was a short walk away), and probably most importantly it backed to the (private property) forest. Room for about 2-3 tents, some good tall po de Rosa trees to put up a hammock. The hosts were great, kind, polite, and kept the bathrooms nice and clean. I felt like they kept the campground well patrolled as well. Hardly any cell service but you could pick it up when you needed it. Well be back!

The Colorado Campground is very well maintained. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. They are active, and seen around the campground often. The vault toilets are very clean. It is in a beautiful area and one of my favorite campgrounds. The cell service is very spotty. Often, there is no service at all for Verizon.
@MelodyR6875965 · Camped on Jun 17, 2024 at Campsite #76
Camp hosts Chris and Kathy were extremely kind, attentive and knowledgeable! Restrooms cleaned frequently and the sites were great. Fishing was an awesome time and just under a mile hike from camp. All in all, we really enjoyed our time there!

What a wonderful experience! A friend and I snuck away for a camping adventure Sunday- Tuesday. Reservation through the recreation.gov app made the process so easy. We stayed in site 45. Camp hostess was unavailable on arrival, but campground was easy to navigate and marked well. Shortly after setting up - camp hostess arrived and provided us safety information and parking pass for day visit to Lake Manitou ( Accessible via trail).Wonderful campground and very well maintained facilities. Campground hosts do a fantastic job and are so kind- firewood available and they are able to deliver direct to site. Many trees and shade available on sites and across campground. Water and vault restrooms accessible. We reserved a standard non-electric tent site. There are many beautiful local trails in the area a short distance away- to explore. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely beautiful, relaxing campground. The sites and wooded and spacious. Close distance to many hiking trails. There are only vault toilets, but they are kept very clean. We have a 30 ft. camper and didn't have any issues driving through the campground. Highly recommend!

The camp hosts were phenomenal. The campground was very clean and quiet. Lots of trees provide nice shade. We love camping here.

It was okay. One site across from us had too many people like 15/20 people. Too many lights at night time while we tried to sleep. The host was nice and bathroom was clean.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
