We loved our stay in loop A. We first stayed in A29 with our tent under the trees, and there were a lot of night wildlife sounds. Had to move to A40, which was more grassy and park like and directly across from the beautiful beach. Both sites we're quiet, and we enjoyed walking the nature loop and to Battery Worth. The Fort is quite interesting as well. Great place.

One of the countrys best NPS campgrounds. Gulf coast beaches, historic fort, great birdwatching and great hiking trails make this a must visit location.

Great campground, close to the beach and far away from Pensacola! Had a beach all to ourselves on spring break. Bathrooms were getting renovated.

Beautiful place, nice. Campground and site for tent. Fire ring, picnic table, water faucet across from this site. (B3). Bathrooms were nice and fairly clean minus some inconsiderate campers' trash.

We didnt have Fort Pickens on our radar, but we need a place to camp closer to home. It was excellent! We will be back

Well taken care of. Very quiet. Nice that trails go to the fort and bay and gulf. Spots are pretty well spaced out. We were there in early March. Nice weather.

The registration process was easy. Getting to the campground was the biggest challenge...I knew it would be difficult after a map reconnaissance, but still, getting there was tough in late afternoon Pensacola traffic. The campground sites are very tight in the loop we were in. I walked over to the adjacent loop (Loop A) and it was much more spacious with some trees that provide some privacy. No problems with my particular site other than having to park my truck 100' away because there is no space in the site itself. Great walking trails and biking opportunity. Beautiful beach and sunset (winter time) on the water. Easy egress to black and gray dump station on the way out. I would highly recommend Ft Pickens to family and friends. THANKS!

Our RV site was very short so we couldn't keep our truck there. You warned us well in advance and it turned out we had no problem with finding a parking space not far away but it worried us. And we have a 24 foot trailer. But the location is great, the beach beautiful and we enjoyed our visit to the fort. Thank you.

The facilities are well-kept and the trails that branch off of the campground offer excellent avenues for exploring. HOWEVER, as even leashed dogs are not allowed on the beach, my experience was limited. PLEASE allow dogs on the beach.

Need to make sites longer so we can park our truck with camper. Most campers only need an extra 5 feet, you would only need to remove the parking slabs. also everyone around us was complaining about the camp host being rude, but we didn't have any problems other then the hard looks at our truck being close to the road. Lot's of complaining but one of the nicest places we have visited in Florida. just don't have a camper over 24 feet long or you might have to park your truck way over in the overflow parking lot.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
