Sites were nice, but showers and bathrooms in our loop were a big problem. Bring your own shower solution if you are camping here.

I was grateful to get a last-minute reservation when Florida State Parks accidentally cancelled my reservation at a nearby campground! As a tent camper, loop B had no electric nor water, yet I was prepared so all the necessities were there for a pleasant overnight stay. All sites are park-at-your-site, thankfully...not the walk-in kind. The campground and the fellow campers had a pleasant nostalgic old-school feel, so different from the state parks where the evenings are silent as everyone but the tenters retreat into their RV's at dusk. The bathroom / shower building was clean but has no A/C so super humid. Staff were top-notch, welcoming and professional. The gorgeous beach is steps from a campground parking area and as an early bird, I had the beach to myself on a Friday morning. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to return.

Great week. Would like better parking for campers. Maybe at the site. Sewer dump is the worst Ive ever been to. Try to dump uphill and no hose connection. We love the camping as a whole.

Love camping here because the beach is easy to access. The campground offers very little privacy and not much shade. We lucked out on our site which backed up to an overgrown area of weeds, trees, and brush. We could step out our door and sit in the shade, but had to be careful of all the poison ivy. We called it our little poison ivy patch oasis! It would be nice if the park could spray the poison ivy around the sites to get rid if it. I bet a lot of people go home with a bad rash.

Definitely recommend one of the tours at Ft. Pickens. Our park ranger Christian Webb was very knowledgeable and made the tour enjoyable despite the heat!! Loved the bike trail and Langdon beach as well.

A beautiful campground so close to the most beautiful beach in Florida you can hear the surf from your campsite!

Great little campground. Showers could be better but didn't ruin the experience for the family.

My visit to Ft Pickens National seashore was great! The weather was a bit rainy the first couple days but the rest of the trip was great. I was a bit disappointed that the bathrooms and showers at the campground did not seem well maintained.

Great beaches, interesting history & fort ruins, beautiful campsite...secluded yet close to city amenities....shower facilities need upkeep

Our favorite vacation spot! A short walk to the Gulf or the bay.

The campground was very nice. The beach and water were beautiful. What needs a lot of attention is the bathroom and shower facilities. The showers were actually disgusting. I never saw anyone cleaning them the entire time we were there.

An incredible natural setting. This is just beach and dunes and birds and fun.

I love this campground and the many historic and outdoor opportunities it provides. I would like to see more waste receptacles near the beach entrances. I realize it takes someone to maintain these but I continue to see more plastic and waste on the beach and in the water. These could be placed during the more crowded times of the year. Also, possibly place more signs reminding people to not litter by showing its impact on wildlife.

We have been camping at Fort Pickens for years and we obviously love it however this time we felt that the showers could use more cleaning and maybe an up grade to the faucets.
@HannahY2A4E2F8 · Camped on May 24, 2025 at Campsite #E44
There is no trashcan in bathroom. The condition in shower room needs some upgrade. There are mold.

It was all good for the most part. But there are a lot of biting ants and Bertelsmann and bugs. When we siting around the fire at night even with bug spray on the ants kept bitting us. We had about 100 bites on our legs and feet and it was awful. Not sure if we will camp there again.

Quiet campground with spacious sites in a natural historic area. Fort Pickens is a beautiful park to enjoy the beach without a crowd. The white sandy beach was clean and the calm blue gulf waters were amazing. Saw several dolphins playing too! We took our camper Memorial weekend and the campground wasnt full. Several families were tent camping as well. The bathroom and shower house could definitely need remodeling or at least a good scrubbing. The campground also offers a laundry room and a dishwashing area. We love the slower quiet pace here and cannot wait to come back.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
