We loved our stay at this campground, such a beautiful area. We especially enjoyed the trails from the campground to all point of interest at Ft. Pickens. Beaches on bay and gulf are easily accessible from the campground. They are improving the bath houses.

Still love the Ft. Pickens area. But the campground has gone down hill. The common areas such as the restrooms and showers really need to be refurbished. Plus whoever cleans them needs to raise their standards or be replaced. Also, the campsite parking was an issue. They don't want you parking in front of your camper if you're getting on the grass at all. I can understand when it comes to keeping the park looking nice but no one wants to park away from their site. Especially those that are handicapped. Widen the campsite entrance and that could easily be resolved. Like I said, I still enjoy the Ft. Pickens area. I always recommend it to others. But it's time for some updates and a little change.

My experience was decent overall, but I was disappointed to find that none of the beaches in the area allow dogs. Given that the park is surrounded by water, this policy feels overly restrictive. It would be reasonable to designate at least a portion of the shoreline as pet-friendly.

Great campground & beach. Nice improvement this year with new fire rings & picnic tables. Also a new dump station for campground B but its very difficult to use as they build a high ledge around it so you cant get a sloping angle for drainage. Bathrooms & showers are ok but could definitely use some updating.

One of our favorite places to camp. Usually try to get Loop A, but had to go to one of the other loops and was not disappointed. Backed up to a conservation area and enjoyed the birds, field mice (rats?) and armadillos. Good hiking as well as beautiful sea green water at the beach. Also enjoyed the fly overs from the air naval base. We'll be back.

A wonderful Gulf shore location, and especially nice in the Jan-Feb timeframe when it was freezing cold in Missouri! Right next to Pensacola and great shopping and restaurants. Fort Pickens is a great historical visit encompassing Civil War and WWI history. Fun watching the jets flying out of Pensacola Naval Air Station, while walking the tranquil and beautiful beaches, or biking the roadways of the park. We came on the suggestion of a friend, and extended our stay three times! We will be back, without a doubt!

This was our third year staying at the Ft Pickens campgrounds. Of the three years, this was the least enjoyable. The beach was nice (as always), but the campgrounds put a bit of a damper on the stay. The main reason is it appeared as though there were about 4 different camp hosts at the same time who decided they were supposed to be law enforcement instead of host. I've been rving for quite a while and camp hosts are valuable for maintaining our parks, keeping campers safe and ensuring rules/guidelines are adhered. One of the 4 camp host was fairly pleasant but the others always appeared to be "on the prowl". Lastly, the rv sites are beautiful and very hard to reserve so when you allow 4 camp hosts at the same timeframe, good sites are being used by them ahead of us non hosts. I'll continue to go back but suggest someone speak to the hosts about their duties prior to them being there as well as limiting the amount of sites the hosts are allowed to use at the same time. For the record, I personally was never approached by the hosts but those folks around me constantly told me of the hosts continual "cop-like" attitudes towards them.

The campground is a great place to enjoy Fort Pickens and the Gulf National Seashore. Sites are close but adequate. Our site needed to have the grass cut and was quite wet. C042

We enjoied the serenity of the location.Away from the fast lane, just stock up on Supplies before you enter park, quite a drive to Gulf Breeze Walmart market, and even farther to Pensacola Super Center. If you love uncrowed beaches, bike and hiking trails, historical sites, it for you.

We had a great time at Fort Pickens. It is beautiful and campground was wonderful. Our only complaint was the campground host was a bit rude, but we only had to speak with her once. So good trip and highly recommended.
