Had a great experience. Except for New Years Eve, the campground was quiet and peaceful. The bathrooms always had toilet paper. The showers were heavily used but cleaner midday. Site 15D was small but I was happy to be camping at the beach. Beach was pristine and quiet. Boardwalk was sketchy and I was surprised it hadnt been closed but grateful it was open because the walk to beach access by campground A wouldve been very long serval times a day. Loved my experience and already booked my next trip to Ft Pickens.

Cute campground and super close to the beach! Wonderful place to stay if you want to avoid the crowds at the beach, Fort Pickens is also extremely fun to explore and is super close to the campgrounds. Wish there was more availability but glad to know people love this site!

Hopefully they will push the bush back around site D15 and make a trail to the sound from D loop that is marked.

Very much enjoyed my stay. The check in was smooth and the ranger was super helpful! The camp and bathrooms were clean and the fellow campers were great.

Reservation was easy to secure. Site was very clean. Beach was gorgeous.Only negative: Finding a tent site with shade was difficult.

Excellent camping value with senior discount. Beautiful beach and good cycling. Clean bathroom and showers. Unusual check-in at building far from campground. Some of the D loop campsites are unshaded and very close together. My neighbors set up their tent about 10 feet from mine and their snoring woke me several times. Add a screaming baby on the other side to the mix and you lose a couple of rating stars.

Incredible beach walks. Lots of trails and landmarks to explore and experience the stunning views from. Abundant wildlife to see and be considerate of. I saw a group of avian enthusiasts pointing out at least 3 different bird species in the trees by our camp site and a huge alligator snapping turtle. Restrooms/facilities are clean and well stocked. The Ranger I spoke to was friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful. The camp hosts were also delightful.

It was the worst experience I have ever had at any campground I have ever camped. Homeless people were harrassing and scaring campers
in the middle of the night. People doing drugs with children in the tents, fist- fighting in the middle of the night, and men who were in the area visiting massage parlors were caseing the rest of the campers in the campground. There was drunk driving with children in the back of the trucks, and general chaos.
I'm a local, it is normally a very peaceful and tranquil place, however, I was disrespected by three female staff members as a female combat veteran. I was ridiculed, lied to, told to stay off the property against my civil rights and A.D.A. Rights. Fortunately, I discussed the criminal activity on the campground with the Chief before her subordinates decided to treat me like a low down piece of shit.
My reservations were manipulated at the facility more than once by the female park service admin's and their supervisor "Jane". I have just checked my cancellations and have tried to get a refund only to be locked out of the facilities information to obtain the actual refund. Furthermore, the reservations are accessible from the computer system at the facility, as again, my reservations have been manipulated where I can't get a refund. I have the screenshots to prove it. This is the first time I have ever not felt safe at Ft Pickens. It's not from a lack of funding, if it takes 3 park workers to run one computer to harm and disrespect a combat female veteran. The stress was so horrible as a combat veteran, I ended up In the hospital directly due to the chaos, and deliberate attempt to trigger my combat stress, and cause emotional discomfort. It was my 30th Anniversary from coming home from war...
