Nice campground. In process of renovating bathrooms which is badly needed. Hope new ones have heat and a/c.

We stayed at Fort Pickens for a week in June 2022. The check in was easy. Our site was easy to back in. Hookups were easy. Site was level and plenty big enough for us to enjoy outside our camper. The campground was very quiet and well-maintained. The showers were probably the only area that was lacking. They really need an upgrade. With no sewer, lots of people are showering and they just need to be renovated. Beach access to both the gulf side and bay side were easy and not crowded!!! Love this place and will be back for sure!

Stayed at Ft Pickens National Lakeshore in late April and the weather was low 80's. Campground B-E could use a few more trees but it was great with water and electricity. No sewer hook ups but there is a dump station. Camp hosts were great! Many sites are short and you are not allowed to park your car on the grass or sideways on your site. Limited off site parking to put your tow vehicle. Before getting to the lakeshore the area is very congested with shops, hotels and tourists but as soon as you get to the park boundary it is pristine. The fort is somewhat interesting and you can watch the Blue Angels practice on most Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10AM from the fort. You can fish off the large pier near the fort without a fishing license which was great fun. There is a boardwalk to the ocean side beach across from the campground entrance and another path to the bay side beach from the campground. The beaches were wide, white and uncrowded. Walk the boardwalk to the beach at night to see the ghost crabs all over the beach and possibly see dune mice. There is a bike/hike trail to the fort and it is the northern most point of the Florida Scenic trail. I will be back!

My wife and I have camped several times in the E loop and very much enjoy it. Our only complaint is how the campground is patrolled and borderline harass someone if one tire is off the asphalt. Most people need to park their vehicle at the camper for easy access to it because they keep things in it. We just camped there one week ago. Although I parked with all tires on the asphalt and not on the street I received a written card warning. I think it was because I was parked across the pad diagonally which I dont understand how that matters. In 2021 my daughter and son-in-law received a fine for parking with 3 of 4 tires on the asphalt after they were told 3 of 4 was acceptable. They were upset about that. Why doesnt the organization either extend the length of the camping pads or slightly widen the pads at the mouth by the street? This is our only complaint but it is reoccurring and could be improved.

This was our second time back to Ft. Pickens. We love it there so much. The reason for two stars was the Camp Hosts, Benny and Minnie. They treated us terribly. I would have given it 5 stars if it werent for them. It is absolutely beautiful.

Had a great experience facilities were very clean. Our site could have been mowed before we got there it's the only downside and the park itself would benefit from some type of general store sell some small conveniences and especially firewood

Campsite had rusted out fire pit, and cannot be used, onsite camp host too strict and don’t promote a positive atmosphere, example: Was warned I had 1/2 of a tire on the grass, my neighbor was warned not to put out birdseed, and another one in our party was rudely Confronted not to use a hose bib down by one of the beach exits, I get you have rules and regulations but there are better ways to handling them ...Somebody needs to remind the staff that tax dollars are use for those facilities and we are paying customers as well...

Can't find a more beautiful place in the world. Campsites are large enough but our site was an end row site and the other campers continuously walked through our site as if we were not even there. I finally spoke out and said "we are camping here !" They were taking out their trash and walking their dogs. They were not friendly ... just rude. Really no fault of the camp ground...ill choose more wisely next trip and stay away from the end sites !

We took two ranger led tours of the fort and found them to be very informative and interesting. We highly recommend joining any of the tours that are available.

White sands, seashells, water on every side, and an historic fort to boot. The only park on this huge sand dune spot, no nothing to detract. Good biking and walking trails. Best campground weve ever been to, and were RVing the entire perimeter of the US. The price also cant be beat, as its a NP. Literally a hundred bucks a night less than the commercial RV Park in town. If you can get a spot here take it!

The canpground is nice. The bathhouse is clean and the showers are individual private rooms. I dropped a star because one of the guys at the park gatehouse just before closing checked for park passes but not campground passes. This park is open only to campers after hours. If you have a valid camp permit then you also have a valid park pass. They wont let you in otherwise. But just because you have a valid park pass does not mean you have a valid camp permit. He was ignorant of the logic and Im sure others were equally befuddled by his pass request. 10 minutes later and I could have just used the gate code.

Great trip! Enjoyed the fort, beach, trails etc. and the Blue Angels. The weather could have been better...which was an issue. It rained really hard while be were there. We were basically on an island in our camper on our great corner lot EO36 with water 5 or more inches all around the asphalt pad. Thankfully it went down in a few days, before we had to pack up and disconnect to leave.
