We love Ft Pickens!! Wonderful campground hosts, nice sites and the most beautiful beaches ever. One big issue about entry and reentry using only one card but other than that...we always enjoy our stay

My wife and I travel full time and Fort Pickens campground is our go to when were heading west for winter. Well maintained and great, largely empty beautiful beaches. Highly recommended.

We loved it, but were required to leave after one night as park closed for fear of flooding. I cancelled the remaining three nights when we left and was only refunded for two.

Great camp sites with a beautiful beach. Excellent park staff and camp hosts. Fort Pickens is a great place to visit.

Fort Pickens has a very nice campground. Beautiful beaches and walking trails in the area. Exploring Fort Pickens and watching Blue Angels practice was fun. The camp host and park rangers were very helpful.

We love Fort Pickens the best. It's so nice an close to the beach and there is so much to do right in the park (tour the fort, gift shop, museum when it's reopened, swimming, searching for ghost crabs, beach combing, fishing, bike riding, and more.

Very nice stay: our lot had plenty of room and a nice amount of shade.Campground was clean and well maintained as were the bathrooms. Showers had plenty of hot water, and there was a good laundry facility as well as large sinks for dishwashing if needed.Easy beach access on both gulf side and bay side.Miles and miles of beautiful beach to enjoy! Enjoyed exploring the fort and the history as well.Lots of shopping and restaurants approx 7 miles down where the bridge comes across.

Beautiful park, wonderful beach, fantastic campground! We loved everything about our stay. Easy to drive into Boardwalk area for restaurants and shops, too. Great wildlife to see. Friendly staff.

Miles and miles of white sand beaches on Santa Rosa Island, with not a condo in sight. A lovely walk through the sandy brush to Fort Pickens where we enjoyed a tour guided by a park ranger. Don't forget anything because there is no store in the park and Pensacola is about 10 miles away.

We stayed in A21 and it is one of the smaller "closer together" sites but was big enough for our screen tent. The site itself was clean but be ready for ants and sandburs (which are all over the FL gulf area). The bathrooms/showers are very old with peeling paint, and toilet seats that don't match the shape of the bowl. They seemed to be clean but frankly due to the age, it is hard to tell. No trash can in the sink area of the bathroom so had to go to stall to toss a paper towel. There are very few campsites that a rig over about 35' will fit, they are serious about your rig and vehicles fitting inside your site. Don't try parking on the grass. The beaches are absolutely beautiful!

Paradise! My dog and I stayed here in January and it was an excellent break from an Indiana winter. Bathrooms and showers were spotless and campground on the tent only side was very well kept. We stayed for 5 nights and were still finding new spots to explore on our last day there. The park itself could probably be seen in a day or two, but there’s so much more than just what you can drive to. Bring surf casting rods and catch your dinner!

We loved Ft Pickens and have been wanting to stay here for awhile. Camp host very friendly, helpful and attentive. Shower s and bathrooms clean. We walked to the bathroom one evening and heard some rustle in the bushes and saw our first live armadillo!

We had 1 or 2 showers available while we were there,door hinges busted and the locks on the other 2 didn't always work. Hosts picked up the tags and that was about it. The 15 minute parking for the restroom/showers was used by the guests of the hosts most of the time. Rangers, what rangers. We saw three rangers the whole time that we were there. One was directing traffic at the fort for the Blue Angels practice. The majority of the drivers didn't do what they were instructed to do and the ranger was oblivious to it all. Lots of damage that was not being worked on by the workers. We have been coming here since 1999, it will be a long time before we return.

First time camping in Ft Pickens in January. A different place than early spring or summer. Very nice time, we'll return soon.
