The sites were very clean, and all of the facilities were great. No staff review since these sites check in was (go to site).

I was in C11. The lane was very narrow, the pad was hard to back into, the sites were so close together there was no privacy. The showers were old and grungy. The laundry was pay-by-phone with it being necessary to download an app, but internet reception was poor. It was loud, with planes constantly flying overhead and at times we could clearly hear loudspeakers from NAS P'cola across the way. The campers, on the other hand, were not loud, and the campground hosts did regular patrols to enforce rules (like keeping all wheels within the campsite and off the grass) plus I did see park staff doing run through as well. I have also never seen such a wide variety of camping styles and equipment. The fort's okay, but the museum/visitors center was closed. No food, gas, or other supplies are available in the park and it's a long drive back into town to get anything. The closest boardwalk to the beach (no dogs allowed) was very uneven.

Really like this park for many reasonsbeaches, ecosystem, and history. Ive been coming here and camping for more than 60 years. Campground and facilities are in great shape but be forewarned. Not much shade and sites are not very deep. Most sites will only comfortably accommodate a smaller trailer or van. A few sites are longer but make sure you verify that your rig will fit. Extra parking is very limited as well.

This was our second visit to Ft. Pickens and we are planning on returning next spring for an extended stay. The campground is one of our favorites and beaches are wonderful.Our only concern and the reason for four stars was the unsettling practice of some dog owners not cleaning up after their dog. Twice we had stool that the host picked up during their numerous rounds throughout the day and many times we witnessed owners taking their pets behind campsites without cleaning up.We also had a a dog owner bring his dog on the beach. This dog was not a service dog.

We had a wonderful visit to Ft Pickens. Such a beautiful area. Our time was limited so we spent one day visiting the Naval Aviation Museum in the morning/midday and Fort Pickens later that afternoon. Looking forward to a return visit so we can take our bikes on the ferry (to and from the fort) and explore downtown Pensacola.

Enjoyed our stay. Lots to see and do. Especially enjoyed the beaches. Even on the busiest day, they were not crowded.

Our site, C11, was free of obstructions and accommodated our 25 ft travel trailer and SUV tow vehicle, though it was tight. Electric and water hookups worked well.The nearby shower building and laundry were clean. Laundry machines accepted quarters, or you can download an app.Campground hosts were circling continually, seeming mostly concerned with keeping vehicles off the grass; good to enforce rules.The fort is very interesting, though the only staff present was one person in the museum.Personnel at entry booth and campground registration office were friendly and helpful.The endless white sand beach is clean and beautiful; parking on weekends often full.C Loop dump station needs work - broken cover on inlet, uneven ground, difficult to walk on.

Fort Pickens Campground and the surrounding area was absolutely stellar! A short walk/bike and you're on basically a private beach, with sparking white sand and dreamy emerald blue waters! Everything is easily bikeable, including the FST which leads to historical sites and ecological wonders. It is truly a magical place and we will certainly camp there again.

The park is kept very clean. The camp hosts police the area quite frequently throughout the day. The ppl at the gate and reservation office are very nice. I did not run into one bad attitude.

Great park....kids loved it ...wouuld be nicer with a playground for kids and a trash can in the bathroom....couple higher hooks in showers....easy to shower your kids...keep stuff off wet floor.

The road was flooded out . Closed road couldn't go in or out for 3 days and locked gate. Some rv sites were undervwater

Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. The only I could say maybe needed attention was the tall grass in the campground. But with all the rain it’s a bit hard to stay on top of it. We love it there and return as often as possible.

Overall Fort Pickens is an amazing and beautiful place. The one issue is lack of leadership on the Fort. I just about maxed out my stays at the campground this year. The one thing that was repetitive is not getting any communication from any Ranger to answer any questions. They all have the same smart attitude and will tell you anything to get you to leave them alone. A lot of work to be done on their part. Facilities need updated bad for sites B-E. Where does all the money go????
