The relatively small campground is great and the best part was being so close to the Potwisha day use area where you can enjoy in the river! Our site itself maybe wasnt the best due to so many holes and not that level but also not the worst in terms of accessibility. We were right next to the bathroom but that was not an issue. There were lots of marmots and two moles we got to watch in the morning and as animal lovers, this was a delight :)

Lots of space in this campground, but General Sherman, Moro Rock, Crescent Meadow, Crystal Cave and other things are about an hour drive up the mountain.

Campsite was so nice and spacious and so close to the river, rangers are very polite and helpful

We never stayed there due to road conditions. We took U.S. 180 to the park thinking we could drive down to the campsite but found out during the ride that 198 was a strongly advised against taking our RV down to the campground. We decided not to fight anymore narrow, curvy, mountain roads that day and opted for the KOA in Visalia instead.My advice is to put that warning on the reservation campsite webpage where everyone can see it plain as day so other people don't make the same mistake we did.

Right in the foothills of Sequoia. Easy access if coming from the South or West. The campsites vary in size and beauty. Some mosquito action until we sprayed and started a fire. Lovely morning walk to the raging river at the edge of the campground.

Campsite number 37 was nice, it had several shaded trees and you were able to hang at least two different hammocks. It has close access to the bathrooms one campsite over. There is a relative amount of privacy from campsite 37 to the surrounding campsites. It is one of the few campsites that has a separate area that you can pull over versus a parking spot. It is one of the best campsites within the inner part of Camp sites available. It is important to note that when we went, we had no cell phone service. Most likely will have no cell phone service in most of the park not just at this campsite.

Good site for 1 tent. Level parking pad for 18' vehicle while most other sites are unlevel. We saw many RV's having trouble finding a level site. Some bugs due to stagnate water in a drainage ditch above site.

Camp ground grown up with lots of snakes. Only 1trashcan for whole camp ground. Camp host gone 95% of the time. No sign present for turn in to camp ground. Reported and never fixed. No one at gate to check people in. Was a horrible experience and will not recommend to anyone

The sites are very uneven and short. I have a 26 foot rv and could barely get it in the site. If you have anything larger then a Prius's the trees will scrape the paint off of your vehicle. The grass needs to be cut because the mosquitoes will pack you off a half an hour before dark. And the bathrooms are not very clean.

It's a very nice simple campground. Clean sites and bathrooms with good clean water. Only one small negative would be the size of some sites and how close they are to each other.

Okay campground like most state and national park camp grounds. We visted in early May and had to deal with a lot of muscitos so bring your Deet if you want sit outside. Still quite a ride to the giant forest over the windy road. Central camp grounds were still closed. Some easy going deer walking in the campground. Waste dump was mentioned as facility but no use sign was put up.

Excellent campground. The spots were very spaced out which made for a lot of privacy. The marble falls hike right off of the campground is also incredible. One heads up - they werent selling firewood at the campground so make sure to bring it.

Good little campground close to the river. At a lower elevation it will be much hotter than other parts of the park. This is great during certain seasons, not so great during others. No showers, but clean bathrooms. 45 min drive to Moro Rock / General Sherman part of the park. About 1 hour 30 min drive to the General Grant part of the park.

The campsite was pretty busy with some awesome campers that shared firewood with me and my group when we had none. The site was easy to access and came with all the essential basics needed for camping.

This was THE best spot (we didn't check out any other spots lol). We had direct access to the river and the site was very flat.We loved it here. The bathrooms were fairly close and fairly clean!

Very nice, green and spacious campground

convenient although we felt it somehow not as clean and tidy as other locations, where toilettes were pristine in comparison. Also, the place we were was very very close to the next place and our neighbors were a bit too close for our taste (and I think theirs too). They were very kind and tried to not overlap our time making fire, etc... , but we felt like some additional bushes or consideration to create more separation would help. We also suffered mosquitos pretty badly unfortunately. Such things are quickly forgotten when walking among the sequoias of course...

Very pleasant campground, close to Tunnel Rock and surrounded by greenery with the sound of a stream. It's very quiet and ideal before exploring the park.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
