Site 13 severely uneven - needed to come up 10in on one side. Tried leveling our 24 trailer and just couldnt do it. Left for another campground. Spot was beautiful with awesome space behind - just could find level.

Great campsite. Great location. Very friendly atmosphere. 13 was quite exposed! So when it was 100 degrees outside, it was an oven and the ground was super hot. Recommend RV or car camping for this spot - or in the fall / winter time!

Our campsite had several holes and large rocks around the picnic table and/or tent spots which were tripping hazards. It was cold (which we expected in Nov), but fire ban made it less enjoyable. Although there were lots of signs about the fire ban, some other camper came (with his camper) and lit a campfire and since we had not seen a ranger except when checking into the park itself, my husband went to tell the camper about the fire ban (which luckily the camper was okay with). Good amount of wildlife and dog friendly. Bathrooms okay, but rely on the cleanliness of other campers. No showers on site.

Great campground! Very beautiful and there were tons of wildlife just roaming around. We loved the turkey gobbles that woke us up each morning and it was lovely seeing a family of deer wander around the campground. Bathrooms were pretty clean and the campground rangers were very friendly. We went the last weekend of March and the weather was great. Campsites are a bit close to each other so theres not a whole lot of privacy but, overall, we loved it and will definitely come back. We hiked the trail thats attached to the campground and WHEW! That was a tough hike but very beautiful and worth the climb. Also fairly close to Three Rivers so you can go into town for some shopping or dining pretty easily.

We had reservations May 17 for 4 nights. Got home a day early from Potwisha Campground in Sequoia National Park. 95% of the entire National Park is closed due to rock slides and washed out roads and hiking trails. From Visalia  you cannot get past Hospital Rock, so the only thing you can do on that side is the Paradise trail, but you can't even hike the entire trail because it is washed out.
From Fresno on 180 you cannot get past Grant Grove Visitor's Center, which is really the beginning of the entrance.
The entire Northeast Generals Highway that wraps around East, then down Southwest is completely closed, along with connecting roads and trails. Dozens of attractions were inaccessible!
I made my reservations in January and I got an email from National Parks.Gov reminding me of my reservations, almost weekly, but my email never mentioned the washed out roads that happened over a month ago. We had no idea when we showed up, and if we were informed, we would have canceled the reservations, as almost all of the attractions were closed.
I did an email search and didn't find any information regarding the closure. I started asking other campers and they said they were never notified either. Such incompetence! We were told by parks services that we could cancel online or via phone, but we had no service. We went to visitor's center to see if they could cancel for us, but they advised using their WIFI, which was not working. Between fuel and overnight accommodations we are out hundreds of dollars and we were bored out of our minds. It would be nice if we could get credited for our nights, considering nobody notified us, and we didn't have wifi or any reception to cancel. I will be waiting to see if NPS does thr right thing for us.

Camp was full but quiet on Thanksgiving morning. Still not entirely clear on the campfire and firewood policies as there seems to be conflict on the website and on the signs posted on the bathrooms.Wash basins only had cold water.

Right along river. Reservation system cannot be accessed at campground and no way to extend visit even when campground is almost empty.

Potwisha is not a scenic or idyllic campground by any stretch, but its functional and serves its purpose. The bathrooms were clean and every campsite has a dedicated bear locker. Navigating the campground loop in a vehicle was easy. I didnt see a ranger at any time but I came in late and didnt need one. This is a good campground as a staging ground for a trip into better and more interesting parts of the Park, not as a place to spend many nights or have a fun time. Its not a bad decision to stay here, but it is what it is: a safe, well-maintained place to sleep outside for a night.

Good place to sleep before starting backpacking the middle fork due to the lack of backpacking campgrounds or access for that trailhead.

This was a pretty good campsite. Bathrooms were nearby, and there’s even a couple hiking trails arhat where campground. There are wild turkeys and deer that even wander through the campgrounds. Only negative thing I can think of is the lack of a shower

Potwisha was a fantastic campground! It was very quiet, clean and had a marvelous hiking trail that lead to Marvel falls. Will definitely be returning to this campsite come spring time.

It is located near the main entrance of the park, so that it was very easy to start the trip for the next day morning. Restroom was clean and there was another sink for washing at the outside of restroom building. It's a great point for the safety under the pandemic. However, half of sites wasn't shaded after early morning. I think that the site 15 is best.
