Campsite number 37 was nice, it had several shaded trees and you were able to hang at least two different hammocks. It has close access to the bathrooms one campsite over. There is a relative amount of privacy from campsite 37 to the surrounding campsites. It is one of the few campsites that has a separate area that you can pull over versus a parking spot. It is one of the best campsites within the inner part of Camp sites available. It is important to note that when we went, we had no cell phone service. Most likely will have no cell phone service in most of the park not just at this campsite.

The facilities were in good shape and the behavior of all the fellows in the campground was adequate.

Nice bathrooms and large utility sink. Thankful it was available in late December without advanced reservations. Site 37 was level for RV

It was so nice seeing those giant trees, but we couldn't sleep at night, because there was some women at No 17 camp spot. They were talking and laughing loudly until 4 am.There wasn't any ranger or employee to stop them doing that.It was a very bad experience for me, because I had to drive the whole day after that night.

Excellent location to drop our trailer and continue up into the park. We were there in March and avoided any significant snow storms up above. Nice campground with a host that keeps things as the should be. Tom the lonely turkey started his day a little early for us but I hope the best for him. He really needs a friend!Very pleased with this stop which I booked months in advance on line.

First trip here. November. Great temperatures. Fire Ban, but that was okay. Great hikes to marble falls, Moro Rock and other places.

This campground is clean and the host Tom was very nice. The restrooms are very clean, and the women's restroom light is very bright at night, which is a plus. They also have a family restroom. We stayed there for 3 nights end of Oct and it was not that cold during the day, we got Mr. Buddy and it was very helpful at night. There was no campfire allowed when we went, but it was not a problem for us. I would check the national park website to confirm fire information. The Marble Falls trail next to the campsites is a mid-level hike (3 miles - 1 way). We also went to see the General Sherman Tree and the Moro Rock. They are both easy hikes and well worth it!

I was surprised that this being in a National Park it was so run down, dated and trashy and unkept. Its one thing to be old, but not having upkeep is another. It was good for an overnight stay coming out of the park, however little appeal for longer stays. I have been a National Park campground host, even though it must have been built as a result of the new deal and was limited and dated, I would have been embarrassed personally to present it in such an unkept manner.

Great site that we were thankful it was a pull through because it was pitch black when we arrived. We left a day early due to impending snow coming and a winding road down

This was a decent campground. It’s at the base of the General’s highway, meaning you have a long drive to see most of the park, but there is a nice river behind the campground to wade/swim in.

Nice little campground, quiet and cozy area. Check out the river across the road! It was a great place in walking distance to cool off after a day of hiking. Restrooms were very clean as well. Great experience overall !

There are a few beautiful trails you can hop on without having to get in the car. It was just beautiful in March.

Lovely campground and close to Marble Falls trailhead. Easy drive to giant forest. Great experience!

The site is charming, especially with the lowered number of people permitted. The trees evoke wonder and awe! The experience is truly one of Earth's ineffable ones

Upon arrival our reserved campsite was closed because of dangerous trees. We were assigned another site on the check-in board that was too small to accommodate our trailer. After calling the rangers' station, a park ranger promptly arrived and we were assigned a larger site. Campground was clean, well maintained and staff was very helpful. No camp fires allowed because of fire danger. Didn't use the bathroom facilities, but they were cleaned several times daily.
