We spent two nights in the campground. We really appreciated the restrooms and running fresh water. The camp sites are pretty close together. We had the unfortunate experience of having noisy campers in the site next to ours. These people played music, had lights strung up, and smoked marijuana, all of which, in our opinion, is not why people come out camping. The rangers were fantastic! Very helpful and friendly.

Beautiful setting, close to water, could hear creek running while drifting off to sleep. Late September. We drove up to the redwoods groves during the day where it was cool temps, and I was glad to come back to the warm foothills for the night.

It's a very nice simple campground. Clean sites and bathrooms with good clean water. Only one small negative would be the size of some sites and how close they are to each other.

Very nice quiet camp ground not far from Three Rivers and not far to Big Trees, we also saw deer in the campground. The bathrooms were clean and had a heater running in the morning. Will definitely winter camp there again.

Site 15 was great, lots of space for tents. The fire pit ring was a little close to the parking spot, but that wasn't an issue.

We originally booked a campground place at Lodgepole Campground, but at the visitors center we were informed that there will be -9'C at night and the area is covered in snow, so it was recommended to us to switch to Patwisha campground which was on the lower level close to the village. So we did it. Day after, during the day we went to visit Lodgepole and see what we gave up on. To our surprise the campground was completely empty, and covered in old snow, nothing prepared for campers, visitor's center closed. Our request for refund was denied. Now, this is the review for Patwisha campground:Two toilets plus open room with one sink in each bathroom available. There is also a huge butcher-like stainless steel sink in the open space btw bathrooms where you can clean your dishes, hand-wash your clothes or fill up the bottles with potable water. Cold water only. No showers. Beautiful surrounding with trees, spring, and nearby the visitor center that has the wi-fi. Temporary (since forever) no-permission for campfire, but most people did it anyway since each spot has a built-in secure campfire setting.Only Verizon coverage signal.

We only stayed one night, and it started to rain as we were setting up the tent. No other campers were near our site, so it was a pleasantly quiet and restful night, even though the power was out for most of the evening and the bathrooms were dark.

Love this campground! Its so clean and well maintained and the trail connected to it leads to a massive waterfall. On top of that the entertaining and helpful camp host Huck makes you just want to keep coming back to chat with him! They do get bears at campsite so make sure you utilize the bear box! We had dear every morning at our campsite! Loved it!

Had a blast with our 8 months old right before the big storm hit. Had 4 rangers come ask us it we knew about it and checked on us the next day. Very good camping if you don’t want to go too high up.

Overall, the campground was nice, clean and well maintained. Camp sites were well spaced out so that you are not right on top of your neighbors. We would have given 5 stars, however we were not informed ahead of time (either via info posted on the NPS website or with our campground reservation confirmation emails) that there were NO campfires allowed in the campground (due to heightened fire danger). That info would have really been useful to have prior to arriving at the campground, since we had planned to use our fire-ring/campfire to cook our meals.

The campground is clean, organized, and has wildlife around. It is about a 15-minute driving distance from the closest visitor center, which has public Wi-Fi to connect you to the world. It was a bit crowded, and some people made lots of noise at night, but overall it was a great experience. There's a river nearby, and it was nice to cool our temperature down when we visited there in late June.Would come again.
