The campground was very well maintained. The restrooms were pretty clean. It was great being right next to the river and and a nice hiking trail. Me and my friends had a really good time.

Great experience camping at this campground. Restrooms were clean and campground was well maintained. Rangers visited multiple times in the day to clean and check the campgrounds. Our campsite was level and close to the river.

It was a nice campground. Definitely a party vibe even though it was mid week. But everyone was respectful of the quiet hours

Potwisha is a really nice spot to camp with a 25ft-long RV. We didn't face any issues inside the campground. The campground facilities allowed us to wash dishes and go to the restrooms. Everything was in good working order. Besides, if you are going with an RV, you can find a dumping station in front of the campground.Keep in mind that this campground is 12 miles from the Giant Forest Museum if you are planning to visit Moro Rock and the Tunnel Log. And it's 14 miles from the entrance of the General Sherman Tree Trail.Cellular data coverage was unavailable inside the campground and along the entire Generals Hwy until we get to the entrance of the General Sherman Tree Trail.

very nice quiet place to camp... lots of hiking trails long and short... nice waterfall just behind camp site #14 and walk across the bridge from the parking lot behind the dump station across the road from the campground. Moro rock trail is a must. (an hour drive from the camp) *no cell service anywhere(t-mobile,spectrum,verizon)*

This campground is a simple, but nice, place to stay in Sequoia NP. The campground itself is lovely, surrounded by mountains and alongside a river. The sounds of the river really add to the ambiance, when the RV folks arent running their loud generators (I do wish generators were banned here, talk about noise pollution). The bathrooms were kept clean, and theres running water and a sink to wash dishes. Potwisha is located in the valley, so it was not as cold, which was nice (especially at night). The only problem we had, besides some trash left in our spot, was the lack of a campground host/ranger. While we were lucky enough to get settled into our spot no problem, we noticed not everyone else was. This campground is reservation only, however there were people without reservations stopping in and taking already reserved spots. We noticed this was causing some conflict, but there was no ranger/campground host there to resolve this. It was unfair to the folks that paid to reserve spots to show up and be met with un-paying campers refusing to move. Im not sure if the lack of management in the campground was maybe because its still off season, but I think this campground could definitely use a bit more supervision. Other than that, its a great, cheap place to stay!

Campground was perfectly fine. Someone had left meat in the fire pit, not a great idea in bear country, but that is not the parks fault. Large bear boxes and locking trash bins are at every campsite. Potwisha is a ~30 minute drive from the visitor center and main area of the park, due to the steep and winding road. Not a problem, just something to factor when planning your trip.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
