Site is easily accessible and neat. But you can fit only 3, 2person tent at this site.

Mind boggling is the only way this place can be defined.

Site 176 was a gem! Amid a huge campground, this site felt nice and secluded away from the noise of the main area (:Pros: - Site is located on a slope, so tent sites are tiered and above the rest of the campground. - Bear box, flush toilets with soap @ sinks- Close to the market, visitor center + showers (last showers at 8:45pm)- Walking distance from a great spot to dip in the river- Relatively private, lights from other campsites were blocked so stargazing was great- Morning shadeCons:- Could only fit one car, but five motorcycles. - A little hard to find spots for tents, but could definitely fit at least three! - Slightly far from the restrooms

Had a wonderful one night camping at Lodgepole. The market place was reasonably priced, very clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed the easy hike along the creek up to the falls and dipping our toes into the shallow pools in the creek.

The camp has it all! Close to the sequoias, close to waterfalls, close to a market and shuttle stop. Cant wait to go back

Fantastic camp site- only 10 in so easily accessed.

We loved the site we stayed at. The campground was clean, quiet, and everyone was friendly. The area was beautiful and it was easy to get to all the places that we wanted to visit in Sequoia N.P. Parking over at the visitor center and market gets really busy and crazy - but we could walk there from our site and there are free shuttles by the visitor center that can take you all around the park if you prefer the shuttles over driving.

This is one of the best campsites ever!! 124, 125 and 128 both have clear views of the waterfall. 128 is a bit more private, but you have a few stairs to contend with. Not many, and Ill probably opt for 128 next time. A few people walk by along the river to play in the falls. Didnt bother me at all. I highly recommend these walk-in sites at the end of Lodgepole. I was there during peak season mid-July, and it was quiet and peaceful. I would not recommend these walk-in sites to anyone with children under 5, however. Too many cliffs and boulder fields, plus the stairs if youre in 128. I snatched one toddler from another campsite running hellbent towards the drop off to the river through my site. Another 4-year old fell down the stairs from 128. Restrooms were clean and convenient with a dish washing sink.

We were so spoiled with this campsite. This was our first time at Sequoia and we got so lucky to get this campsite. It feels secluded, but is close to the market, visitor center, and shuttle stop. It is also near some of the main attractions of Sequoia and other amazing trails! We are already planning our trip back and will only stay at Lodgepole!

Site 112 was shady most of the day, but had the late afternoon sun. Grate for the fire pit was broken and on the ground (we only use the pit for the fire and making Smores, so loss for us). Bathrooms were clean. Staff is friendly. We enjoyed this campground and the amenities it offers.

Really busy road by campsite pedestrian and cars making u turns. Also the grill was broken i had to put a big roc in the fire pit to makeshift a grill. Waterfall hike and small river close to campsite is on the goodside. Restroom always busy due to shuttle drop off being nearby

Good hiking right from the campground. Good access to park shuttles, too

Overall this was an excellent stay for our first family camping experience. Site 064 has some open space on one side and a neighboring site on the other. Beautiful trees and mountain backdrop the site. I chose this spot for it's proximity to the restrooms. I liked our location- close enough to the stream but it felt like we had privacy and didn't have passersby coming right by our site the whole time. The downside to our spot is that this particular restroom is at the shuttle stop and at the giant parking lot for day visitors. So come Saturday and Sunday the bathrooms were totally trashed and gross and devoid of TP and soap. The bathroom was not cleaned on Saturday but it was cleaned midday on Sunday. A ranger told me an outside company is contracted to clean the restrooms everyday. The park rangers were friendly, knowledgeable and personable. I didn't know they hosted evening lectures on various topics. We loved the talk on owls. I did like the closeness to the market (10 min walk) but bc day visitors made the bathrooms gross I might consider a different site at Lodgepole next time. If I was able to do most of my stay on weekdays I would- to have smaller crowds. One note- if you bring a table cover. The picnic table at this spot is 8 feet long and the benches are 6 feet long. We were treated to deer passing by, and on our last morning a doe and buck with beautiful antlers came through our site. The free and convenient shuttles take you to the hot locations. Much easier than parking. There's a cool hike from General Sherman to Lodgepole.

Maybe the most beautiful campsite in the United States. I recommend campsites 121, 122, 124, 125, and 132 - or any on that loop. Avoid campsites 1-60 as they are less private. Also, even in July, it was COLD at night, so bring a blanket. And - bring quarters for the showers and note, you have to drive to the Visitor's Center, but once there, they have showers, laundry, and plenty of food and shopping.

Beautiful campsite. I enjoyed staying in the upper sites its a bit more secluded and quiete. We were next to the river and were able to get in throughout the day. Very close to the bathrooms. I would highly recommend staying here. You have all you need.
@LadanBCB945F2A · Camped on Jul 15, 2025 at Campsite #9
Good campsite, but be prepared that the fire rings are very short. Also there is not a dish washing station, but you need to make sure to dump all dish washing water in the bathroom. I would bring a separate bucket to catch food related water. Near showers and store which is very convenient.

the ranger talks and the ranger led hikes were excellentHowever the ranger at the informtion desk wee particularly not helpful. They simply could not guide us on how to go about to see park highlights. As per our past experience, this was very disappointing.

Beautiful area, great campground, fun hike right off the loop. Highly recommend hiking to Pear Lake!

The rangers were all superb. The facilities were top notch. This is the best campground we have been to on the West Coast!

Lodgepole campsite have a very convenient location with market/gift shop, showers, grill and laundry around, It is very spacious, clean and has a beautiful view of the stars when it gets dark, the river it's right next to it and you can heard the relaxing water while sleeping. "Tokopah Falls Trail is just a few steps away from the Lodgepole Campground you really cant miss it!"I highly recommend this campsite
@RobinB2917356 · Camped on Jul 14, 2025 at Campsite #144
We had site 144 reserved but were lucky enough to change to another site when we saw the setup of 144 situated so close to 143. I wanted to leave a review to let people know that the tent pad for 144 is right next to the fire ring of site 143. I dont want to give it too low of a rating because some people loved this site before us and probably will after. Everyone likes and dislikes things differently. I would recommend booking both sites together or making friends with your neighbors. It just wasnt for us for the night we were there. We wanted a bit more space between our site and our neighbor.

Beautiful views and staff was great!
@MichelleS85055 · Camped on Jul 13, 2025 at Campsite #100
Very relaxing and next to the river! The site is spacious and seems more private than the one before it. Across the tokopah fall trail. Theres chipmunks and bugs. I would give it 5 stars if the water spigot and dishwashing area were closer. Restrooms are short walk across, it has flushing toilets and no lights (bring headlamp/flashlight). Beautiful big starry sky at night! Wear grippy sandals or water shoes when going to the rocky river! Refreshing swimming area with trout fingerlings! Lucky to snag a night but would stay here longer next time!

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
