Camp site 67 was a great location. Near to a visitor center, restrooms, rangers, and hiking spots. Showers located at visitor center, fair walk or very short drive from our camp site. Laundry mat near by there as well, coin machine located outside showers. Quiet site that was comfortable enough to fit two tents (one large and one small). Great mix of sun and shade. Unsure exactly where the overflow parking was, ranger that was posted there the day of our arrival wasnt sure either as its not their usual assignment.

Had a great time camping with the family! Definitely recommend Lodgepole as there's plenty to do. Picnic grounds, General Sherman Tree, Giants forest, Moro Rock and tons of hiking. Lodgepole market had everything we needed, and the staff and the park rangers were friendly. Warm showers were a plus.

Campground was clean and well maintained. The market place was close by but the hours were shorter than summer season.

You cant beat the location. Closest place you can camp to access the major sights in Sequoia NP. Also all the amenities are available for dry camping (bathrooms, showers, groceries, maps, potable water, camping supplies, and gifts.

Great campground location but very busy.Lots of motorhomes running there generators so not very quiet in the early evening plus lots of campfires smoking the place out.

The park was well cared for considering the reduction of NPS staff. We did miss having the kids involved with the Ranger activities, but we made the best of what we had. The main concern with the reduction of staff was the smaller presence in the campground, leading to multiple campfires being left unattended and not fully put out when the campers left for the day. We personally put out three unattended campfires in the three days we were there. Beyond that the showers were pretty nasty, but that's on the concession vendor staff.Overall, we loved out time at Lodgepole and plan on coming back when the NPS staff return in full force.

Great location. My site was perfect and roomy with a little privacy too (#66). The bathrooms were ok. Went to see General Sherman tree and did the hike there. Its about an 8 minute drive from lodgepole campground. Overall nice experience.

We loved our site and the Lodgepole campground! Trails and areas to explore right from the campgrounds. Beautiful area! Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic campground with easy and short access to the sequoias. Theres also a hike that starts in lodgepole that takes you to the sequoias if you dont want to drive. Theres also a very nice waterfall hike here also. The campground is clean and roomy but very comfortable. My only complaint is the lodge closing early and opening late. In days where you want as much sun as possible, having to get back before they close at 5 is not ideal. Otherwise excellent place!

Lodgepole Campground is in a great location for exploring the two main attractions of Sequoia National Park - the Sherman tree area and the wider Giant Forest. We spent four nights there and hiked many of the trails. There's a gas station at Stoney Creek and many good trails in Sequoia National Forest along the Generals Highway going north to Kings Canyon. It's about 45 minutes to an hour to the King's Canyon area. The campground is relatively large and the amenities are good. We used the dump station and water fill, which worked out great. We stayed in two different sites with a 24 foot trailer: 184 and 27. The loop with 184 was wooded and lovely, and our site backed up to hill with boulders. However, it did not have a 24 foot driveway as indicated. It was 18 feet at best, just long enough for a truck. We had to park in the area that was meant for tents. I wouldn't recommend that loop for any trailers as all sites are short and the curves are tight with boulders and trees on the sides to navigate. We moved to site 27, which is in a section closer to the front that is more open, less wooded. The site length was great and it worked out well for solar. A potential downside of #27 is that the amphitheater is adjacent to the site. For us, it worked out as there weren't any programs running. To enter the park and get to the campground with a trailer or RV over 22 feet, be sure to go in the 180/Big Stump entrance that brings you into Kings Canyon.

awesome time and the rangers are incredibly helpful. I only did an overnight trip and my tent got rained out but I am definitely going to come back soon! i hiked the tokopah falls trail and got some absolutely incredible pictures, as well as the surreal feeling when walking through the giant forest is incredible.

Camped there early October. It was quiet and peaceful. Campsites are close to each other but were lucky with our neighbors (maybe the rainy evening/night helped too).

Great campsite, with access to river views and traiheads. Driveway is not super level if you have an RV, but if you tent camp its a great spot to pitch a tent. Sound of water is soothing. Bathroom is fairly far away, but otherwise great campground.

Loved the layout, the easy access to trails and the option for showers and the store.

Lodgepole is the most popular campground in the park, for good reason. The bathroom facilities are decent (flush, cold water) and there is a grill/cafe, well-stocked store, and coin-operated laundry and showers. Several day hike loops are easy enough for anyone. I only wish the walk-in tent sites were a bit more ample and level.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
