This campground had such a great vibe! Lively and fun without being rowdy. Clean restrooms, beautiful sites and close to great trails. We took the Tokopah Falls trail right from the campground and it was wonderful. We left before sunrise and beat all the crowds. The Lodgepole showers are worth every penny. We enjoyed the snack shop and gift shop too! Definitely loved our stay!

Stayed in site 57 for two nights. Overall this campsite is fine but there are few cons due to its location in the campground. First, the site is unfortunately placed along the shortest line for campers to get to the bathroom, meaning that people are constantly cutting through the site instead of following the longer path around. There really is no way to stop it. Additionally, the site is right next to main road, so cars/RVs are driving by the site constantly during the day. The pros are that the site is large with room for several tents and it is within easy walking distance of the park shuttle stop and camp store. Lodgepole campground itself is okay, although somewhat cramped. In my opinion, there are better campgrounds available in the national Forrest, such as Stoney Creek, but if you want to stay in the lodgepole area, this campground is decent.

bad situation when we went there. our 'driveway' was flooded by the previous night's storm so unloading and loading the car was wet and messy; noisy family gathering next to our site; we had to purify our water: no drinkable water out of faucets anywhere; smoke due to previous night's lightning wildfires; stressed out employees.
As I said: not a good situation for us at all.

I like this campground a lodgepole. There is visitor center, market and showers. But it was closed when I camp. I stayed #57. Campsite and bathroom were clean. Shuttle was convenient.
