Lemplacement est trs chouette, entour de rochers. Il est situ sur la boucle la plus loigne de lentre du camping donc plus au calme. Dpart de rando le long de lemplacement

Great and convenient location to go with family. Being near the creek made camping more surreal.

We really enjoyed this place. There is a little river that runs thru it and hiking trails everywhere. It was really nice to see people getting out and enjoying being outside and even more sitting around campfires. This site even had a Lodge where you could get food and other items if needed.

Quite nice temperature in July. We were able to fit two sedan cars in our parking space. There is a sink next to the bathrooms which could be used for washing, which is nice.

Nice spot. The bathroom for this campsite and the bathroom in the lodgepole visitor center were probably the worst national park bathrooms Ive ever used.

Lodgepole is a great campground surrounded with beautiful hikes and close to main points of interest in the park. Rangers were also super helpful and nice. Only complaint were some of the other campers who 1) played loud music day and night 2) left trash behind. Please be mindful for those who actually take joy in the quietness of nature.

I usually hate camping in the big park campgrounds, but this one was relaxed and the trails and stream right there was great!

gorgeous, clean campground centrally located in sequoia national park. amenities and supplies on-site. friendly, knowledgeable rangers and staff. quality hikes within it's boundaries. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

I don't know if this is a review for my site (#199) or for the campground overall, but I love staying here as a central base for exploring Sequoia. Site #199 is on the large "Log Bridge" loop but is in a little turn out at the beginning, meaning most passing traffic doesn't have to drive right past you, as opposed to sites #200 and #201 some or the others nearby. Water tap is nearby (site #202), and flush toilets are a short 2-4 minute walk. Shuttles are convenient; we took them to the Lakes Trailhead to go backpacking. Be sure to check the actual schedules. A ranger told us service stopped at 6pm, but it actually ran later in August. The Lodgepole C.G. is very large and open, so plan to be seen by your neighboring campers. The Twin Falls trailhead runs right behind site #199, but the few hikers won't hamper your privacy any more than the campers will. There was some bear activity, which is part of Sequoia, and which some of the campers handled poorly (freak out, excessive car alarms, bashing on their bear boxes) and the rangers' Bear Management team handled professionally. I sense why the park disallows bear spray, because it would have been far worse if panicked campers had started spraying it everywhere. Read up and follow all the rules on food storage. I think the bear was more scared than any of the humans were.

The campground was clean and quiet. The shuttle bus system is outstanding! Every 15min and takes you everywhere you want to go for free.

Bears! Not sure what happened after we left but there was a juvenile bear that wandered into the campground nearly every night. One night there was a bear management person who spent the night and used an air horn to keep the bear away but one night wasn’t enough! Last night we were there at least 6 dumpsters were over turned.
Otherwise a great trip, Rangers we’re very responsive, beautiful park even during a drought.

its next to a trailhead which is not as heavy used compared to the waterfall trail but if that is an issue with you, look for another site. overall, great experience, the restroom were a hot mess. it was great we used mask anyways because the smell is not tolerable. hot garbage, but i am sure they clean that up, i just wish they cleaned while we were there. other than that, great campground, and close to the creek.
