Tent pad on the first sight we had selected was ice covered, but we were able to talk to a campground employee and they allowed us to move to the next site. Only two other camp sites being used on her first night and just one on her second night. Beautiful park

I was pleasantly surprised by this campground, which felt quite private despite the number of campsites around it. It backs up onto a lovely bit of woods and I spent many pleasant hours watching the chipmunks, ground squirrels, birds, and marmots. The tent pad was a good size for my four person tent. This site is easily walkable to Lodgepole Market, Grill, and visitors' center and close to a bathroom without being too close. There's a water faucet right next to the campsite, which is super convenient. While I was camping no one else used it, but I imagine when the park is very busy you'd get people coming through for water. There's also a small uphill walk from the parking spot to the campsite, which I didn't see mentioned anywhere. It's pretty short, but important to know in case any of your campers have mobility issues.I did not have any cell service at the campground, but there's free WiFi a short drive away at Wuksachi Lodge.

Wasps seems to be a annoying problem at the Lodgepole campground. Any time when trying to have a meal at the campsite, swarm of wasps were all over.

Love this site!!! Private enough. Site has great shade at different times of the day. Fire pit has no grill, has an open ring only. No cooking or warming up anything on it. Bathroom closest to the site are the ones where the shuttles stop by, so the restrooms are not too clean. I suggest taking wipes to clean seats and toss in the trash can. Overall the site is worth the stay! River is close and trails as well.

We went in November. The shops were closed, so there was nowhere to buy wood. But the park was absolutely beautiful. The trees were magnificent. The rangers were also very knowledgeable with some interesting stories. Definitely check out the museum. We stayed in lodgepole, which I'd recommend because it's properly in the park.

Despite snow on the ground, the loop and our parking spot were appropriately shoveled out. The bathrooms were well maintained

I was worried about the bathroom situation, but bathrooms (with sinks and flush toilets) were clean and plentiful. Campsite was amazing and we felt totally immersed in nature!!

We have stayed at this campground each time we visited Sequoia Kings, and it is perfect. Most sites are spacious (we researched on campsitephotos.com), it is conveniently located, AND due to the altitude, it normally has nice, cool nights for sleeping. Highly recommend!

Saw lots of bears so be prepared. Perfect location!!! I recommend following the length specs for sites they are very very exact. Campground is super central, beautiful place full small and long hikes.
