You cant beat the location. Closest place you can camp to access the major sights in Sequoia NP. Also all the amenities are available for dry camping (bathrooms, showers, groceries, maps, potable water, camping supplies, and gifts.

We got caught up in the Govt shutdown so we couldn't see everything we wanted. Camp ground was great and we were close by the Visitor Center and Market.

Beautiful campground. We saw deer every day. Rangers and camp host were nice. Good hiking from the campsite. Close to market and visitor center. 2 negatives were that the showers were closed and the shuttle was not running , but not that much of a big deal. Also saw a bear.

Perfect location, beautiful river crossing the campground. There is no electricity (even in the restrooms), nothing important, but good thing to know.

Lodgepole is amazing. We lucked out with a couple of great campsites, but the entire campground was amazing. The market is convenient, and there are plenty of trails to hike. The amphitheater is great, too.

I can’t understand why the National Park website isn’t updated to reflect that the showers were closed. How hard would that be? We didn’t stay.

The campgrounds as well as the entire park was beautiful..However the campsites are a little close together and I had issue with people running their generators not only more than necessary but beyond the posted hours. It seems like there was a lack of patrol through the campsites from the forest service staff

The lodgepole camp was very easy and convenient for our family camping trip with 3 small kids. The bathrooms were close by, and it was nice that the general store and ranger station was across from our camp in case we forgot anything or needed advice. Also a convenient location to get to all the sites we were interested in! We would stay at this campground again, especially with family or groups.
