What a treasure in the towering conifers of the Sequoia National Forest. Lots of space between sites. Cheerful and efficient campground host who magically knocked down the stench from the pit toilets. A rock wonderland to explore on foot behind the walk-in sites. If youre looking for the Jennie Lake trail, it starts across the street at the North Stony Creek campground all the way at the back near the toilets. Its an uphill climb through lovely trees. Be aware that just because you are keeping your dog on a leash doesnt mean other people will.

We love Stony Creek! We had a roomy campsite, the rest of the family was across the road on the creek. You can play in the creek walk around in the forest. Drive to see General Grant and General Sherman trees. Ryan, the camp host is a wonderful host. Though the restrooms are vault toilets, they were kept very clean.

Large campsite with water on both sides, and probably one of the most level RV sites (19). It was clean and quiet, bathrooms were close to running out of toilet paper on one day, but very clean for vault toilets. Camp host was friendly. Meat bees were awful but thats just part of the camping experience!

Camp host was brilliant, really helpful and flexible - we swapped sites because of availability. Great site overall, clean and tidy.Bathrooms were marked on the map as "flushing toilets" but they're not - no sinks or lights!

A beautifully laid out campground. Serene and peaceful. Facilities onsite were spotlessly clean. Plenty of space to manoeuvre our 30ft RV.

Lovely area. Perfect campground situated right in the middle of both sequoia national park and Kings Canyon.

Highlights: there was running water and pretty good access to the restrooms. We went during the week, so it wasnt crowded at all. We stayed at campsite 012, which was very private, quite spacious, right by the creek, and its a walk-in site with a slight slope, but that wasnt really an issue.Downside: unfortunately, it rained heavily one of the nights we were there, and since our site was in the lowest area of the campground, part of our spot got a bit flooded (nothing too serious), but it was a bit inconvenient to walk around the next morning. Of course, this isnt the campgrounds fault at all, but just a heads-up if youre planning to visit on rainy days :)

One of the best campsites I've been to. Thank you Ryan for giving my family of 3 some recommendations. Camp 12 was by far the best if you want to be secluded from the rest. Site 12 is a walk in camp, there's a little walk down from he top. About 100 ft, But once you're there it's amazing. The creek is right there and you can hear the water at night when you sleep. Camp host Ryan also did let us borrow a lot since we forgot ours.

Great campground! Keep in mind that middle of July early morning temps could drop to about freezing. Sites are protected by trees giving lots of shade. Camp host, Ryan, was great! He was checking grounds several times a day making sure everything is the way it supposed to be. Camp is very family friendly - prefect for families and kids, lots of open space for them to roam, and all was quiet after 9pm. Definitely would come again!

It's been one of the best camping trips ever. Love the place, just couple of feet from the creek. Dunno, it's been an amazing experience!

Spot 16 is haunted. Extra creepy too that its near some random fire road in which anyone can roam out of. Host was nice but behind a wall- which was just awkward. Restrooms were clean though! Needless to say however, we wont be back.
@HarryPBDC56646 · Camped on Jul 5, 2025
Great location for accessing both ends of the park, like that there is no cell or wifi service so we can actually be present with our family.

Double site was pretty roomy so you can set up more than 4 tents plus park 3 cars, but you need to pay extra for 1.I was surprised that we can grab any wood and put on a fire so the people in the tent next to us were chopping wood with an axe all day, and it was extremely noisy.
@AidenSC48101C8 · Camped on Jul 3, 2025 at Campsite #7
Pretty roomy to set up more than 2 tents.you can park 2 cars but need to pay extra.Since we visited 4th of July, there were a lot of people so toilet needs to be cleaned more often though.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
