Site 18 is likely the largest one on the campground, we had enough room to play soccerball with kids. Close to the creek. The camp host told us a story about vacationing Rudolf the Reindeer, and we saw him wandering around and visiting our site.

This is easily one of the nicest camping sites I've been on. Very spacious and good amenities. Just tent camping but site 18 was fantastic

We've been coming to Stoney Creek for decades...and have always had fun. We even have a favorite site we always try to get. Most the campsites are roomy but a few are big enough for 1 medium sized tent. What we didn't realize the bathroom situation had changed from flush toilets to vault toilets (and our campsite was next to the bathrooms. It was especially warm during our visits and the bathroom smell became really overwhelming each afternoon--I don't know if it was because of the heat or just the nature of vault toilets. Unfortunately, that aroma would spread to the campsite with the afternoon breeze. They were kept really clean--but we are definitely rethinking camping at our favorite site on future visits.
Also, showers are no longer available at Stony Creek Village--you have to come prepared for washing up at camp or driving to the National Parks which did not have showers available during our visit.

we went from flushing toilets and sinks to pit toilets with flies and no sinks

Great location, our campsite (18) was very large and the tent pad was large, pretty level and far away from the fire pit and bear box. Right next to the creek, close the water and the bathroom. The pit toilets were clean and well maintained. A+

Amazing campsite, 18 probably one of the best, for size and location. Backed up against the creek, there is nothing better than sleeping to the sound of a running stream. The shade is impeccable and really there is nothing that can go wrong with this site. Loved it!

Perfect campground - awesome host, clean grounds, cleanest of bathrooms! The campground was full our entire stay, but this was not evident unless you actually canvassed the whole grounds. Lots of families with young children were here, but it wasn't too noisy. The sites are for the most part large enough to accommodate large tents (ours could have fit 3 really big tents!), and solitude, communion with nature, etc., is incredibly easy to find within a short walk of any campsite. Highly recommended, despite the lack of potable water during our visit!
