The amenities are abundant and well-maintained. Easy access to the best sites in King's Canyon and Sequoia NPs. Very nice views of the surrounding mountains.

Lots of space in this campground, but General Sherman, Moro Rock, Crescent Meadow, Crystal Cave and other things are about an hour drive up the mountain.

Wonderful location and a beautiful campground. The giant forest is a must visit we also recommend staying another night to check out Moro Rock. Ok and clean toilet facilities. No paper towels in the bathroom or hot water. Functioning dumping and water station. Clean campground. We definitively would like to come back.

When we pulled up to the campground, someone was in our spot. When we told them we had it reserved and showed them the screenshot of our reservation, they invited us to share it with them... like what is the point of a reservation if there are no camp hosts to enforce the rules? We wound up sharing our space with strangers and not being able to use the picnic table, as they had their stuff all over it. As I was sitting in my chair near the car, a fellow camper approached my husband and I to say he didn't know what to do as he had just arrived to find someone in HIS reserved camp space. Unlike our situation, he could not share so I am not sure what he wound up doing. There looked to be open spots, but it was dark and we didn't want to steal anyone elses spot and have to wind up moving. I recommend if people are paying for spots to have a camp host at the campground to mitigate the free loading issue that this campground apparently has.

Potwisha is a very small campground with only 40 sites available. Everyone was respectful of quiet hours. There is a limit on RV or travel trailer size because it is an older campground that wasn't designed for large rigs. Sequoia has narrow roads that can have 10-20 MPH speed limits due to the hairpin curves. It is 13 miles from Potwisha to the Giant Forest of Sequoias, so plan accordingly.

Beautiful area, pull thru site, next to a flowing river, and deer in the campgrounds, great experience.

Can get a lot of traffic noise here since it's the first campsite and by the highway, but the nice little grove of trees give it decent privacy.

Potwisha campground is located at the valley before going up the mountain from the south entrance of sequoia national park. The campground is fairly spaced out. Very dry in the autumn. Can hear the river flowing below.

This was a great campground. Incredibly clean bathrooms, a well-lit information booth, and a super cool little creek that you can walk down to via site 16 (as long as nobody is camping there). If you plan on camping there, make sure to check the weather/temperatures for the campsite itself. We made the mistake of checking the sequoia weather and prepared for much cooler temperatures. It was pretty hot at the lower elevations so we were a little sweaty. Also, make sure to check fire restrictions for Potwisha specifically as well. It is under 6000ft of elevation and so no fires were allowed. Didn't hinder our trip too much and we had an amazing time!

Spacious spot that can house 5 tents. Small campground means less campers. Hiking trail starts from the campground.

Social distancing provisions made me feel safe, and the reduced number of campers was nice.

Location is about ten degrees warmer than Giant Forest area up the mountain. Great location for Spring/Fall months when temperatures start to get down near freezing up in the mountains, but likely to get very hot in the summer. Had deer and a bear wander through our campsite (use the bear box). No showers at campground.
