Cool campground. Would not recommend site 17 unless your group have also booked the site next to it. You are basically right next to your neighbors. Would highly recommend the campground overall - just not this site!

First day was very windy and my campsite had absolutely no wind protection, which made it difficult second day and night was much better and I enjoyed it however, I have discovered that I appreciate mountains and coastal areas better

Be prepared for wind!

Excellent alternative from booking a site in inside Joshua Tree proper. No long lines to get in at the kiosk and great campsites.

Campground as a whole is great. This site is okay - but quite small (our 4 person tent was as much as I think could possibly fit) and somewhat exposed-- it's adjacent to the road and the only tent spot is RIGHT next to the parking spot for the neighboring site. But still a lovely time!

Just know this campsite is not in the main part of the national park, you have to drive back in. unless you want to walk the boyscout trail back into it (take food and water). Cell phone signal is mininal, but if you walk up towards the indian cove trail you'll get better signal. Other than that, this camping spot is great.

Took a chance and found a spot in jumbo rocks even though we had a reserve at Indian Cove. Off season helped. Ranger met us and took our reservation. Our rig is 25 exactly and it was challenging to find a level enough spot that actually fit 25. Never the less we loved everything about our time in jumbo rocks.

Safe and clean

Great site! We were conveniently located near the entrance. However our site evidently was a trailhead for rock climbers trying to access the top. So we had people coming through our site.

We had a great experience outside of other campers playing very loud music into the night. The noise pollution defeats the purpose of being in nature at all.

Great primitive campground set among rocks. Very scenic. Pit toilets, no water or cell phone signal. Close enough to town that it's not a problem

we were in site #59 and loved it! It was nestled privately against the rocks but still had a nice views out to the mountains. The bathrooms were maintained well and very clean. Driving around the park itself, we got to see all of the other campgrounds and were very happy we picked Indian Cove for its ease of access and proximity to town.

My experience here was absolutely horrible. We had neighbors that were plain extremely loud music till 2:00 in the morning, after the music finally stops and at 4:00 in the morning they got into a huge domestic dispute and ruined everyone's experience. There's no one to call that will answer the phone and come handle situations like this and I find that to be very unprofessional. One of the worst campgrounds I've ever stayed at due to the misbehavior of these people and no one to enforce the rules.

Absolutely no campground host patrol Office closed three days a week. More than a dozen campers at one site playing amplified sound and absolutely no consideration of quiet hours. Location is in a separate area from the main park.

Tossing rocks to rest on boulders is perhaps one of the most disrespectful acts visitors do to this area. Please leave the land the way you found it!

a beautiful place, I wish we could have stayed longer.

Great site. Had cellphone coverage most of the time there. The rocks were fun to climb on. Good shade in the afternoon.

This is a beautiful campground set up against the beautiful rock formations of Joshua Tree.Sites are nicely spaced, and several pit toilets take care of the basic needs. Each site has a fire pit, separate grill, and picnic table. You must bring your own water- there is a filling spout at the ranger station that sits at the entrance, about 2 miles from the campground proper. I would stay there every time I visit J-Tree.

Cattail Cove has been a favorite of ours for years. The park is extremely well maintained, staff is helpful and friendly. The care taken with the plants & trees is amazing.

Such a unique and beautiful campground in Joshua Tree Park. Campsites were in and around massive boulders, fun for kids and dogs. No water. Be sure to bring enough with you. There was water available to fill containers at the entrance.

Campsite was great with rocks to climb on and other nearby formations to hike to. Only complaint was that a climbing class used the rocks next to us both mornings starting at 6:00AM. Between the arrival of a fleet of trucks & other vehicles, setup, talking, and then classes starting with the teachers & students yelling, it was very disruptive & annoying. 8:00AM (or even 7:00AM) would have been a much more reasonable & considerate start time.

Campground host was great! Came by to check in and let us know where to find him if needed, very friendly. Pit toilets only but clean and plenty of tp.

Great experience, but there are many amazing climbs within camp sites. If you choose a camp site with one of these climbs, PLEASE understand that people will want to climb there. Also a small child kept peeing all over the bathroom floor and toilet paper when we were there :/

This is the most stunning campground in the park. It also is located off the main loop so, though large, it tends to be quieter in terms of visitation. Many of the sites are up against the rocks so your kids can climb. Our site was scenic and close to the restroom which was well maintained.

Indian cove campground is a wonderful place to bring a family or some friends. Everyone is always friendly and welcoming including the rangers. I have been coming here for years because I know it is a safe and comfortable environment.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
